Question about Proscan 32LA30Q Television
At first it would take a couple of tries to turn the Tv on but eventually, even after trying several times, it does not come on at all now. Is their a technical solution for this. I have a full electronics workshop at my disposal.
With any type of service, if you do not know the basics you should not be trying to do the service. There are also many safety issues when working a TV set or any appliance that uses high voltage supplies. To follow up for any testing and measurements you will need the service manual, and most likey some dedicated test equipment, and depending on the model you may need the exension jiggs.
The first section to be verified is the power supply, and then verify the loading of the other boards. At the factory level service, the power supply module is swapped out to quickly verify it especialy when the set is dead. The the other boards are swapped out as necessary for verification.
The flat panel type TV sets are mostly serviced by board swap. There is very little component level service support for these. All the boards are using high density circuit board design in multiple layers. Only some of the large caps, switches, and a few other descrete components are changed on a board or panel.
