Question about Bloomfield 8571 Coffee Maker

1 Answer

Trips circuit My Bloomfield 8751 will brew one pot of coffee and then will trip the GFI circuit. If I try to reset the circuit, it won't allow me to reset until I unplug the 8751. It's only good for one pot and then I can't use it for several hours. Any suggestions? Jim

Gfci trips. Hi - I have had my Saeco for 10 years now. Since earlier today the gfci trips whenever I am trying to use it. Any ideas? Thank you!

GFI safety trips whenever it detects moisture. Normally this happens when water splashes over when filling or brewing coffee. This has happened to me several times. You must dry the machine out totally inside and out. I have used a hair dryer successfully both times. It is possible that you have a short circuit. If you want to veryif that it is moisture and not a short circuit, plug your unit into an outlet that is not GFI protected. If it kicks the breaker, then you definately have a short circuit in the machine. This would require dismantling the machine to find where hot wires have come into contact with bare gound.

The gfi trips every time I turn it on

Chances are while you have a 20amp circuit in your kitchen the gfi you are plugging into is rated at 15amps. First make sure your outlet is connected to a 20amp circuit breaker and then change out the gfi for a 20amp one. This coffee pot is more for commercial than residential usage, I had the same problem until I changed out the gfi plug.

Not brewing full pots of coffee

Check the in line water fliter. It may need to be changed.

You can try this also.

Put the brew basket in place with no coffee in it, put an empty decanter under the basket. take a full decanter and pour it in the water fill screen at the top of the unit. When the wtaer stops dripping and the unit is back up to temp, try a full brew cycle.

If it works OK, it just got low on water in the tank

Could be caused by a plugged up filter or lime scale build up.

Solis Master 5000 trips GFI outlet during brewing.

It sounds like the power filter(capacitor) located under the pump is damaged.

Trips GFI circuit brakers

First of all, lets clarify what is going on. You say it trips the GFI breaker, so I'm assuming that it is not a GFCI receptacle that you are plugging into. So you are going to the electrical panel and resetting the GFCI breaker.  If it were a GFCI receptacle, have you tried other loads in this receptacle for 30-40 seconds, ie: Toaster, hairdryer, coffee pot? If everything works fine then there is something wrong with the ESP8XL. It would seem that there is a leakage path to ground from one of the conductors. If it is new, bring it back.

GFi breaker blows

There is an electrical problem with the brewer. If you will please get the model and date code located on the bottom of the machine, and call customer service, we will be happy to assist you with this. The machine has a 3 year warranty and if the machine is 3 years old or less, it will be replaced at no cost. If it is over 3 years old, it will be replaced at a reduced price.

Bloomfield 3-pot coffee maker won't brew

These macines have an internal water heater that should be clened periodicly (monthly per manufacturers instructions but I do it quarterly/semianually/when it gets noisy :) ). The machine will have to be disasembled to do this since the tank will have to be flushed when you do this to get the chemicals out of it (vs running a pot of vinegar through your Mr. Coffee machine at home), Depending on how much scale has built up in the tank this could take several cleaninings. Scale deposits can over time impair/damage the heater or thermostat but replacement parts are cheaper than a new machine and the machine will outlast and outperform a standard coffee maker. BTW, my 8572 3 burner was built in 1972, I bought it at a flee market for $25 10 years ago put $100 in parts to get the push to brew and hot water on tap working again and it made two great pots of coffee this morning.
