Question about Philips Magnavox 9P6034C 60" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Can't make it work

We have dvd and tv set up , and we think that all is well with this , however when we load a disc it says that it is loading , and after a small while the message comes up that there is no disc. Everytime we repeat this the same thing happens. The message that there is no disc when in fact there is.
Can anyone please help. I know it will be a simple problem , but we can't figure it out.
Thanks Ken

If the DVD doesn't recognise a DVD disc, then if can only be one of the following:
1. Not a compatible disc... Try a store bought disc.
2. Defective disc... same as above.
3. DVD player is defective and needs repaired or cleaned.

When a DVD player says "No Disc" it also means " Can't read Disc".

Hope that helps,

Geno

Hiya, I have a MATSUI M19DVDB19 - I am unable to use the DVD, get the DVD screen up, load a DVD, says it is reading disc and then it says 'NO DISC'!! Help please.

LENS IS MAYBE DIRTY ORDEFECTIVE
TRY CLEANING IT WITH ALCOHOL WITH Q -TIP
IT LOOKS LIKE A SMALL CLEAR EYE , IT READS THE CD/DVD.
BE GENTLE.

I have a Bush DVD15TV, when I insert a dvd it says 'loading' then changes to 'no disc'. Can you advise please? I have tried to put a lens cleaner in and it does the same thing.

Have you tried using another disc?

Sometimes DVD-r discs will not read properly, or may be defective.

Try to use another disc, one that is clean!

I have the 1513-tdxb polaroid tv dvd combo. the dvd wont load. ive changed the batteries in the remote, but it still wont work.

1. Purchase or borrow a lens cleaner disc and try it first. You can find these things really cheap at any large department store. They usually get the job done well. However, you may need to clean the lens manually if the store-bought cleaner fails.

2. Remove the outer casing of the DVD player. Remove the screws that mount the top casing onto the bottom of the DVD player and slide the top casing off. This will expose the DVD deck, which houses the laser pickup lens.

3. Find the lens. The lens will be glass and under the DVD clamp. The lens will probably have a blue tint to it. If you are having trouble finding the lens, you could shine a light on the components and watch for the reflection.

4. Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the lens. Just a quick scrub will do. Dry the laser pickup lens with the other end of the swab.

5. Give the lens a few seconds to dry and replace the covering of the DVD player. Test the efficiency of the player. If necessary, repeat the process.

Let me know if this doesn't work and we can try other options to get it working.

Thank you for using Fixya and Good luck.

I don"t know where my manul is and the tv switches from tv to dvd what do i do. It is a highdef 1080p please help

Go into the menu and shut off the autoscanning. When it detects a lack of signal (like a dark spot between commercials or a DVD loading up) it confuses it for no signal and thinks it should switch.

DVD will load disc, repeated clicking noises, then informs me that there is no disk, and shuts down the DVD player.

Your best bet is to go to web site " ShopJimmy.com " enter your model number and see if they have the dvd mech. available. You just don't try and repair those, not only Polaroid, but all that have them 99% of the time can't be repaired. Happy Hunting!!

I have a tevion dvd player, but when i load a dvd the picture is pink. i cannot get any colour

If your TV is otherwise working properly then its a problem with the DVD or the DVD player itself. Try a different DVD, Change the cable which goes from the DVD player to the TV.

Thanks

Just bought a Audiosonic KM2201DVD 22" LCD TV WITH DVD PLAYER. The DVD Player comes up with BAD DISC error no matter what DVD i place in it. Is there a factory reset on this device or a reagon...

Is there no factory setting on that unit sir,in that case the bad dics error is need to repair or fix some a technician.there are 3 different type or deffective parts to replace it.first type the MODULE of the dvd player ,is need to re-heat the parts of the module by using a hot-air or soldering iron, second loose connector or cable between the module and lens, and third look the lens if lights up while loading the dics which means the lens is good,if theres no lights up or lazer, the lens are deffective.

Integrated DVD player

If your handy, then try to disassemble the DVD .player from the unit and manualy clean the lens assy, but please be aware of the HI Voltage dangers inside of a tV set. if your not then Please call a pro top assist you with this repair. If the units not worth fixing then simply buy and inexpensive DVD player/recorder and hook it up via the external inputs. Good Luck
