Question about Whirlpool LSR7333 Top Load Washer
There's a chance that clothes are getting under your agitator and rubbing on the shaft. It's dirty there. Feel under the agitator. If you can get fingers under it past one knuckle(guy's fingers), clothes just might get there too. The only fix is probably a new agitator. Compare the old one with a new one, see if the new one is lower. Agitators come off easy, a bolt is under the Downy dispenser, pull the plastic cover up. Check your agitator dogs while you're there. There's a site here where you can get new ones.

With the exeption of something you mistakenly left in your clothing and wound up in the washer, not likely stains are from there , most of the time they do come from the dryer, try grabbin an old white rag nad runnig it around hte fron of hte dryer drum and then tyr the rear where the drum meets the back bulkhead. usually leavs brownish streks smome what curved 2-3 inches log. its from hte felt hte supposed to seal the drum. its either wearing thin, or a glide has worn away causing the issue
