Did you save the settings if you save your settings it shouldn't say that or your ds doesn't have memory to save the file.

Sony ZS-DS drops all stored data i.e. Radio Stations, Clock time etc even with a new set of data backup, AA batteries. Any ideas on this problem or is it time to replace it?

Hello
Check the metal battery contacts at the set for any rust or dirt accumulated on springs of pads, restricting the flow of current from backup batteries to the inside circuit of the set. Backup batteries should be replaced after 12 months periodically to retain data. When you replace the battery, the data stored will be lost, and you have to re-enter all the data once again. OK.

Lost my DS-40 audio files after upload. Can I recover them?

you can use card recovery software that helped me before
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
4. Install and open the data recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Next' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted files.

Memory loss

Quick, check every menu on the game. This is what happened to a friend who had Mario Kart. "Deleat data" was accadently selected when that person was trying to edit something. The data was lost. Check all menus. The wrong thing could have been selected. If you cannot find a way to deleat data, then make sure you never turned off the DS, DS light, DSi, or whatever when saving. If it was turned off when saving, then the following can happen: Nothing, Data Erase, or data destruction. Data destruction means the cartridge is ruined. That didn't happen to you, though. I am sorry, but you must start over.

Ninetendo DS keep receiving message "Could not read the data"

what ds card you are use? e.g. ds-one, supercard... etc ?

You might have a driver loose, try to re-copy all ds card driver to your memory sd, within cd support included of the pack,. or you'll need re-format your sd then copy your game at the right folder.. and try again..

Hope this helps..

You probably damaged the main circuit board and the settings like the date cant be saved properly so after reboot it thinks something has happened and wants you to re set settings and happenes again and again.

Ds wont save settings

Sounds like corrupt firmware but there is no way to download new firmware or install it for the DS that i know of.

The DS may not have it but computers use a small watch battery to save this information. There could possibly be a small watch battery on the motherbaord for the DS that went bad and possibly if you replaced it it maybe hold it's time, date, etc. again.

I could be way off but it may help.

I did find a website that you can buy replacement parts to fix DS's.

The only thing you can buy that makes sense towards your problem is a new logic board.
