You should try it on another PC first, if it still does the same then you need to look at my Viewsonic albums so you will know what to look for (bad caps).

Acer monitor has green lines on the scren

Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) screens use less energy and display a clearer picture than the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays that preceded them. These new LCD screens now dominate the computer monitor market. From time to time, however, pixels can become stuck and a green line can display on the screen. Removing this line is sometimes possible without sending the screen to the manufacturer for expensive repair.

Locate the pixels that are stuck on the screen. Download a free screen repair software program, such as UD Pixel or JScreenFix. Run the software and allow it to find and attempt to repair the stuck pixels. Turn off the LCD monitor. Apply the damp cloth directly over the stuck pixels and use a gentle pressure to spread the liquid within the screen.

MY MONITOR SCREEN IS FUZZY. UNSURE THE CAUSE OF THIS, PLEASE HELP; COMPAQ MV730I MONITOR MAY BE JUST OLD ALREADY AND I NEED TO REPLACE IT.

Difficult to say as there are several possibilities. First would be to narrow them down. You may have already tried this, but wipe all dust off of the screen to see if that helps.(Do Not spray liquids on you monitor, if a cleaning agent is necessary, use a damp wipe to remove debris. If a single drop gets past the monitor's bezel in the wrong place, it will cook the monitor or worse, cook you.) If that didn't work, then, if possible, run the monitor on another computer. If that clears things up, I would suspect either a driver or hardware issue with the computer. If the screen is still fuzzy on another computer, then it is definitely the monitor. As CRT's age, many things happen. One is that the phosphor wears out from being shot at by the electron gun and start to go dim and then fuzzy as the intensity is increased by the user to make things brighter. Another thing that ages is the high voltage transformer. As the transformer weakens, it is no longer able to shoot a sharp beam of energy and begins to splatter a bit of energy on the surrounding pixels which would make the screen appear fuzzy. If the CRT has controls for adjusting intensity, contrast, saturation (those are sometimes hidden behind a small panel) tweak them one at a time remembering where the original setting was to see if that clears things any. ***DISCLAIMER*** (Note: Some monitors have the controls inside. If you are not experienced with adjusting high voltage devices DO NOT DO IT!!! A monitor is not worth your life, and if you disrespect high voltage even by accident, the potential is there to kill you!) Above all things, BE SAFE, and then choose what is best for you to do. Best of luck.

Fuzzy screen on Gateway FPD1975W TFT LCD Monitor

With the pixels acting up and the monitor having the same problem on any computer that its connected to. The screen itself is bad and since there are no replacement screens for that monitor, you would have to buy a new monitor or get it replaced if its under warranty.

Fuzzy line going right down right side of Sony Laptop VGN-CS26g

The pixels inside of the LCD are going bad. Your screen is going to need to be replaced. When pixels in screens go bad it usually turns colors or gets fuzzy after it heats up.
