Gears may be stripped in the brush drive line. right off the motor is a gearbox, held on with two screws. getting to it is fairly complicated, fix is easy. parts can be found at Protech Robotics Parts and Service

Run the Roomba without the dustbin. Do the brushes turn at all? If not, call customer support at 1-877-855-8593. Be sure to have the Roomba with you.

IRobot rumba 4000 seems to run ok and then starts making a kinda hi pitched growling noise and slows way down. it is very clean(blown clean with air compressor)sensors are clear ,newly installed well...

It sounds like your Roomba's brush gears are not working. Run the robot without the dust bin to see if the brushes are turning. If they are not, the robot will need to be replaced. Contact iRobot CS for support at (877) 855-8593.

Irobot stops after a few minutes and says plaes

soooo, what is not understood here ?
turn it over, open brushes cage, take each brush out and clean it.
In addition, also clean the sides from any dirt/hair that may stuck in its pivots.
good luck

My Irobot Roomba keeps saying that I need to clean Roombas brushes. I have cleaned the brushes...they are spotless. Still the Roomba will go for 2 minutes and shut itself off stating once again to clean...

Perform the troubleshooting found at the iRobot website: http://tinyurl.com/nh5c8a (I promise that really does go to the right site.) That troubleshooting will enable you to determine exactly what's causing this problem. (The Easy Way: Run the Roomba minus the dustbin and look in the back. Is the brush turning? If not, there's the problem. Give support a call at 1-877-855-8593 and they'll let you know how to replace the necessary part.)

My irobot roomba 415 vacuum starts turning then alarms and the red status light comes on.

You need to listen to the alarm so that you can determine what Roomba's trying to tell you. The troubleshooting codes can be found here, at iRobot's website: http://tinyurl.com/md2u9p

Bin isn't filling, won't pickup and brushes won't spin for the second time. Last time iRobot had to replace both wheel modules. Any suggestions? I clean it every time I use it!

Wheel modules? It's more likely to be the cleaning head module. Clean your brushes exactly as the manual describes-- particularly the yellow bearings. Run the Roomba on a hard floor without the dustbin. Does the brush turn? If not, call support again and they'll help you out.

Irobot 4100 brushes do not turn & bin is empty but filter is full. does the roomba need a new cleaning head module?

Yes, it probably needs a new cleaning head module, if your bearings are clean and the brushes still don't turn.

ROOMBA 415

It could be the power button itself. If you have a Roomba remote, try using that to power on the robot.

Irobot moving slowly

Try running th roomba with the dust bin removed to see if the main brush is turning, if not it could be an issue with the gears being stripped in the brush motor assembly or inside the brush compartment holder. If the gears are fine the brush motor itself may be blown. A new one is about $30.00.
