well..you can start by tryin to reinstall the utilities and drivers(on disk, perhaps) or you may have a memory flash issue...none of those are appetizing...but..

It probably stops working due to the heat. The solder connection to the motherboard may not be up to par. To get round it I would purchase a PCI network card and use that instead. If the mouse bothers you, you can always unplug it, but it is something that you dont need to worry about.

My dell GX620 desktop does not power when ever I plug in the network (RJ 45) cable. Also if the system has boots to desktop, and I plug in the network cable it automatically goes off.

1) Does it have a separate Ethernet Card, or is it integrated?
(Part of the motherboard)

Reasoning?

The Dell Optiplex GX620 comes with Integrated networking.
The chipset is a Broadcom 572.
It's part of the motherboard, and you plug the Ethernet Cable into the back of the computer.

However, you could have a separate Ethernet Card, plugged into the white PCI expansion slot on the motherboard.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dell-Optiplex-GX620-SFF-Motherboard-F8101-KH290-PY423-20-Available-/370743464509?pt=Motherboards&hash=item565208523d

A) If you are using a separate Ethernet Card, replace it.

B) If you are using the Intergrated networking of the motherboard, (Plug Ethernet cable into back of computer), use an Ethernet Card instead.

White PCI slot.

You have a short circuit when you plug the Ethernet Cable into the motherboard. Don't use the motherboard networking, use an Ethernet Card.

2) Plugging an Ethernet Cable into a computer that is on, = No.
It is not a Plug N' Play item.

(Not stating this is what you are doing.
Just posting in case you are. Burns out the Ethernet chipset on the motherboard)

Where is the video card?

The video card is either on a riser card from your motherboard or integrated into your motherboard.
you can easily find out as it is the place your monitor plugs into your computer usualy with a blue 15pin D shaped plug.
or a larger white plug.

I have a acer m 1620. when i power it up the screen comes on and say no signal and then goes black. the fan comes on and continues to run but thats it. does anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like the video cable is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Also check if the screws on the video cable are tightened. If this does not work the graphics card has likely failed.

I have a Acer PC. My Pc won't load past the Windows Blue Splash Screen. When I try to go in via Safe Mode, it stops at the same place. I been trying everything ... through the recovery console. With no...

remove all dervices, pci cards, modem card, usb devices ect... except for the hard drive, the cd/dvd drive and video card, if applicable. go into bios (by holding down f1, f2, f10, or delete before windows starts to load. try each, for different computers use different buttons) and disable the sould card, modem/network card, if integrated, and any integrated components which are not absolutely necessary to boot.

try to boot. if that does not work, try using 1 stick of ram at a time, and try each stick,1 at a time until it boots.

if your computer boots when stripped down, then try reinstalling/reenablind each device, 1 at a time, until you find the device that is keeping it from booting.

if your computer will not boot when stripped down, you need a new motherboard.

My hp a805n powers on like normal but my monitor is not coming on? i checked my monitor on another computer and it works perfect? whats the reason that my output to the monitor isnt working? i dont think...

Hi,
This could be an issue with the integrated graphics card( This computer has integrated graphics card) or faulty motherboard.
In order to check he motherboard follow the the steps below:
1)open the computer tower by removing the side panel.
2)Remove all the memory chips(RAM) from the computer.
3)Try to turn the computer on.
4)If it is beeping then the motherboard is fine.
5)If you don't hear any beep motherboard is failed.
****Even if the motherboard is working as there is an issue with the integrated graphics you need to replace the motherboard.
Thanks.

Cooler master extreme duo psu + Acer Nvidia MCP73 mobo

No it will not. The motherboard has voltage regulators which correctly distributes voltage through the integrated circuits to the chips/capacitors/etc. that need power. The only reason you would need a stronger PSU with more output wattage would be if you had lots of internal parts that drew a lot of power (such as 4-way SLi cards with power adapters plugged in, sound card, 4 hard drives, 4 optical drives, TV tuner, lots of fans, etc.). A setup like the one I just described would probably need at least a 750 watt PSU. But in any case, you could have a 2000000 watt PSU and it would not fry the board due to the reasons above.

Ethernet connection failure

I think you just need to install the right drivers for the hardware:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_P4_4600&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Go to this link and it has all the drivers you need. If you need further help, let me help.

Error code 31 4 to 6 network adapter

Check these things:
  1. Is you Ethernet adapter Active
  2. Is your Cable the correct one (NOT a cross over)
  3. Refresh your IP Address for your Ethernet Card
  4. Reboot your computer and power down your modem, then power the modem up AFTER your windows is logged on
  5. Verify your modem "really" can connect, use another computer.
  6. Verify the are no network issues with your ISP

Go back to Acer.com. The driver you want is the one that say's (Power 1000 chipset driver) that is if it's an integrated Network card. If it's not integrated then I would need the name on the card. Hope this helps.
