Based on what you are stating, I can't tell if this is the MB that came with the H2862.

There is a PDF file titled User Guide available for the H2862 at this URL

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=H-Series&model=H2862

Have you tried to e-mail your problem to their tec support.

The monitor will not get a connection. I need to know where the video card is located.

This is eMachines Support, T6420 desktop computer>Specifications, and downloads page for the User Guides,

http://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=Desktops&subcat=T%20Series&model=T6420

The eMachines T6420 does not come with a graphics card from the factory.
It comes with Integrated Graphics.

Integrated Graphics is also known as OnBoard Graphics.
On the motherBoard

The GPU is soldered to the motherboard.
(Graphics Processing Unit,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPU

OR,
someone has installed a graphics card, into the PCI Express x16 slot on the motherboard.

You can determine real easily if your computer is using Integrated Graphics, or a graphics card.

If it is using Integrated Graphics, the monitor will be plugged into the I/O area, on the back of the computer, and into a VGA port,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGA_connector

(I/O area;

I/O = Input/Output

The I/O area, is the area that has the rectangular metal shield, and Input/Output devices are plugged into this area.

Devices such as a Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, and so on )

HOWEVER, with the motherboard used in an eMachines T6420, the I/O area could also have a white DVI port.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

This was an option offered. The DVI port still connects to the Integrated Graphics on the motherboard.

The eMachines T6420 uses an MSI MS-7207 motherboard.
(Micro Star International, Inc.)

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-detailsInactive.asp?EdpNo=2665522

The above link is to,
1) Show the motherboard
2) Provides a link to the Motherboard Manual

Looking at the photo of the motherboard, you will see two long White slots.
Above these two slots you will see a longer White slot.

The bottom two white slots are PCI expansion slots.
The top longer slot is a PCI Express x16, expansion slot.

This is where a PCI Express graphics card would go.

I would like you to scroll to the bottom of the page, to the Product Resources heading.

Under it is a link to the Motherboard Manual, for the MSI MS-7207 motherboard.
Also known as K8NGM2-L

Left-click on the blue - MSI K8NGM2 Series Manual.

You will be looking at a blank white page, as the PDF file downloads in the background.
Took 34 seconds with a medium speed DSL connection, for me to download it.

NOW,
No Signal on the monitor, means the monitor is Not receiving a video signal.

1) Check the monitor cable if it is removable. Use it on another working computer to insure it is good.

2) If the monitor cable proves to be good, the next area to check would be the graphics.

If the computer is using Integrated Graphics, and no one has installed a graphics card, the test would be to install a graphics card, and plug the monitor into it.

Computer off, unplugged from power, Anti-Static precautions are observed before reaching inside the computer, and handling the graphics card.

I don't think the problem is the graphics. Could be wrong, but we'll see.
Let's carry the diagnosis past the graphics for now.

I think the problem could be due to a bad Power Supply.
Weak Voltage power rail.

Enough power to light lights, and spin fans (Perhaps), but not enough to turn the Processor on.
(Fans may be spinning, or may just spin a few times, and stop)

1) ALL the lights use Less than 1 Watt of power
2) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

3) A typical Processor can use 51 to 125 Watts of power.

Continued in an additional Comment.

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO CONNECT THE POWER SUPPLY FOR AN EMACHINES T1120 COMPUTER. CANNOT FIND A SCHEMATICS DIAGRAM ANYWHERE.

After reading an article about Emachines awhile back, I found out the reason you can't find the schematic- it isn't available, as some motherboards are made specifically for Emachines and therefore not distributed, as they might normally be, but again, others are, but you have to identify them and go through another source to get them- Emachines, appartantly, will not supply them. All is not lost, however...all motherboards have, basically, the same hookups and connectors for the power supplies, hard drives, etc.- they are standard. I found a web blog that explains the power switch, reset, and power led, which will help. Here it is: http://www.computing.net/answers/hardware/emachine-power-sitch-wiring/56545.html
This site will explain about the 24 pin connector from the power supply
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/53750-7-installation-manual-rs480m-w3400-emachine-motherboard
If you google "motherboard wiring" you will find sites that have illustrations of the motherboard, and explain which connectors go to which sockets, and how to identify them.
With a little patience and determination, you should be able to hook everything up from the various blogs on the net. Hope this helps.

Had to replace power switch on emachine computer need to know where wires go

You must check cable(small) one the (left or right) one hard drive, CD Drive, floppy disk and for motherboard (the big one) .You check the manuals, is not hard just follow where the power lines.

Need to re-attach power button cable, hard drive

The manual for your computer is available from emachines, p.168 shows the info you need (replacing the front I/O panel)
http://downloads.emachines.com/userguides/8511279_eM_NG3_chassis_HW_ref_en.pdf

The good news is that you can't harm the computer by connecting the wires wrong and the bad news is they just won't work the way they are supposed too if not connected properly. The LED's must have the correct polarity to work.
In general, if you look real close (as in magnifying glass and flash light) you will see the ID for each set of pins is printed on the motherboard (pwr, rst,HDD,pwr sw,speaker) Just match what it says on the motherboard to what it says on the wires. Don't worry if you get the polarity wrong. If a light doesn't work just swap the two wires. The colored wires should be positve (+), though. The reset (rst) and power switch (pwr sw) wires don't require polarity.
These instructions are for most computers in general, YMMV.

Where can I find a E210882 N232 Motherboard Manual and how much memory can the board accept or recognize? This computer was given to my Daughter and I'm trying to soop it up a bit.The board is in an old...

I think that motherboard is actually an Intel D865GLC; there's lots of info available on the intel site. Here's the manual: (http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/d865glc/sb/cs-008973.htm).
Look at the manual and see if it matches up. If it is a D865, it looks like it uses DDR memory, up to 3 or 4 GB (4 slots)

I assume you are trying to connect the wires from the faceplate to the motherboard. Get a magnifying glass and see if the board is marked as to Power, Speaker, HDD LED, Reset, etc. Trace the wires to the faceplate and note what the function of each pair of wires is and attach to motherboard as necessary.

H2862 Will not power up

This is a common e-machines problem. You were right to change the power supply. Most e-machines come with dangerously (fire balls shooting out the back) low powered power supplies that can even catch on fire. Most people install their power supplies for e-machines backwards meaning they put the 20+4 pin connector in the 4 pin connector next to the processor and it fries. Others don't do anything and the computer is just fried. It's one of the reasons no one should buy an e-machine. If you want someone to fix it for you or you want a new machine and your files transferred go to www.mindblowingidea.com/ComputerRescue and you can get PCs with XP Pro or Linux.
