Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3xx Cellular Phone

3 Answers

Motorola V3xx I have a standard built in motorola handset in my Jaguar X-type (with touch screen) and want to unplug the handset and install a direct lead connection from the RJ45 to the V3xx mini usb. Can anyone tell me which pins from the V3xx I need to connect to the RJ45 pins to get maximum functionality?

Hi AliyaC,

I'm not sure which pins to connect for maximum functionality. If you want to connect your V3xx to a RJ45 connector, I suggest you look at buying a converter set which do this for you. I've put together this diagram to show which components will be required for the conversion:

Cable 1 can be found at

Converter 2 at

Cable 3 at

I hope you find this information helpful in solving the problem.

Hi,

What you would like to do is most probably not do-able. May I ask why you want to do this?

You cannoct just connect a cable from those two ports, you will need an adapter

Usb is Universal serial bus, it manages serial signal, RJ45 is ethernet terminator, it will communicates using ethernet packet. You cannot just run a cable between those two port. The easiest thing to do is to connect an ethernet adapter to usb port, that would work on a pc usb, but not on min usb on your motorola, as you will not find drivers for a usb ethernet adapter on V3xx.
    Here is one model:
    NewLink USB to Ethernet Adapter,

    Here another
D-Link DUBE100 USB to Ethernet Adapter

I do not think models above can work on your device.
The only remaining thing to do is to use a hub/switch or router with usb capabilities.
Here is the sample with a hub (cheaper than other devices).
If you use a hub same as the one above it will work for sure.

    regards

Remove camera

open up the back of your v3.take out the battery..
then remove the 4 little rubber screw plugs on the 4 corners of the screen side of the flip/there are 4 little star type screws in there.remove them remembering what hole each screw came out of.some v3s have different size screws in the holes.then you'll see the flat ribbon cable going from the camera to the pc board of the screen.remove it and gently work the camera out of its holder..be careful.use a flat type screw screw driver to work it out.

Motorola V3xx I-mode

Under the settings for usb connection type change the setting to memory card connection. This is subject to having a memory card (Micro sd) installed. Otherwise you may have to install motorola phone software into your computer and use this to update files on your phone.
