- used almost an entire ink cartridge using the printers cleaning program and still clogged. Has to be a cheaper way.Same Problem

What you can try is this. UNPLUG THE MACHINE..
Remove the ink cartridges. Place some paper towels under the cartridge holder.
Take a soapy cleaner like fantastic, or formula 109 and dribble it into the area at the bottom of the print cartridge holder. You want to disolve that ink and flush it out of the pads in that area.
Just take your time, and keep rinsing until you see very little ink coming out.
Then clean up the surrounding area well. Wait a 2 or 3 hours before trying it again so that all the cleaners dry.
Normally that fixes this particular problem, The ink just coagulates in that area from non use.
