Driver audio

http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us You can also pick from the premium version & one other for this board. Unfortunately, they don't have a 7 driver & probably never will,so you can use the vista driver with no issues. Also, you can go to realtek's site & see if they have a beta driver out. Just have your chipset number handy, that's also on that link.

Board comes on but it don't boot yet everything else seems to be working fine, why won't it boot?

Ensure you have hardisk and OS installed, take off any CD on CD Drive. If still won't work, try to re-seating the memory card and graphic card (if you use one in slot).
Check the Power and Data cable connection onto hardisk.

You can download the drivers from ASUS WEB site. Select your model motherboard, and make sure you select the Windows XP or Vista version of the drivers that matches your Windows operating system.

System windows 7 can''t look for HD I havn''t driver for motheboard

Win 7 should find the HD with no problem, without a driver. Windows should start up in 'limp' mode, and activate the other resources once proper drivers are loaded. Check Asus-usa's website for the drivers for the main board.

First time building power hookups on mobo

the general guidline is that if your power supply has the extra cables and your mobo can support them, then plug them in... those extra 4 wires in your long power strip will normally be used for grounding, so that's a must. check your mobo manual to see the exact specs. ... as for raid, wiki it man.

P5wd2 problem with sound

Please go to page 5-11 to 5-15, in you're manual. You must have the Realtek HD audio manager installed & running. If you find this did not help, than there may be a problem with the ALC882 audio codec. A board issue. You're board is warranted for three years. Contact Asus tech at: 1-812-282-2787, M-F 8:00AM to 5:00PM. EST. Please write down the S/N located on the pink LPT port. As seen from the inside of you're case on the port.
Asus will want this S/N. If there is trouble, do not end the call until you get a case number. (Very important)!

Good Luck!
