you haven't told us your pda model, but nevertheless, let us assume your pda is bluetooth capable, can be use as usb modem. and the necessary drivers are already installed.
on your computer, go to network, then select set up a dial up connection, then on the modem's list, select your phone, then indicate a phone number by inputting *#99# (this means that your pc will dial the default internet configuration on your phone) so it can connect to the internet. you must configure your phone browser settings for this to work.
you may also pair your device using bluetooth, then setup a bluetooth connection. same process as usb modem setup..
yes of course.. connect your mobile to the computer via connectivity cable, blue tooth or infrared. setup a new connection and enjoy.
note: you need to get access point settings from your network carrier. for further problem you will have to cantact your customer care of your network carrier and get help from them since all the carriers have different settings..

Hi! You have to select the mode of connection.. through blutooth or by usb data cable.
If by blutooth, you have to stable the pairing of the phone and the pc.. You also need to make sure that your phone has already the settings that your phone provider has sent you to access by phone.. If you can access the net from your phone then its ok to surf internet on your pc via phone as your model. You also will need to set your phone as your modem.. how? go to control panel and select Phone and Modem, there set up the phone as modem.
If this things are done, then go with your pc suit again and try connecting.
If you are trying to connect via usb data cable.. you will need first to install the driver of your cable before you can start pairing your phone to your pc via pc suit.
I hope i gave you a better idea with that. Much appreciated if you could rate this help. Thanks
First of all you will need to have settings save to your phone sent to you by your phone provider. If your phone can access the web, then that means your phone already have the settings for surfing the net.
Secondly, you will need pc suit software or any other mobile suit software compatible for your phone. Install the software to your pc..
Third, you must specify the mode of connection that you want for your phone and pc.. If you will be connecting your phone to your pc via blutooth... then you will need blutooth device installed and connected to your cpu.... If you will be connecting via usb data cable.. then you will need driver installed for your data cable.
Fourth, on control menu.. double click Phone and Modem.. Install your phone as your modem.
Lastly, If all is done.. run your pc suit... pair your phone to your computer.. Access dial up via phone modem... and there you go.. just make sure your phone is loaded so the connection wont stop..
Good luck. Much appreciated if you rate this help. thanks.
I have a Acer pda model C530 and it has a switch that detects if the cover is correctly inserted, check that switch, buy electronic contact cleaner spray and clean it (and clean the battery contacts,on/off button) if possible try with a new or known good battery. If it has dropped to the floor it might have some bad contacts.
my isp>add a new modem conn>connection name (whatever)>modem : cellular line(gprs)>access point : bplgprs.com (case sensitive)>user name: bplmobile>password: blank>advanced>servers> use specific server : DNS: 220.127.116.11> alter DNS : 18.104.22.168 >OK
On your PDA go to Start – Settings – Connections. There you can find an option called Connections. Chose it and go to option “Add a new modem connection”
On this place please enter the name (example MOBILE) and select a modem (Generic IrDA). Next step is to enter the right number that should be called with your mobile phone. At the last step should be inscribed username and password if necessary. Go to finish.
After that, make please direct positioning of your mobile phone near PDA. On the mobile phone start in the menu the option called “Infrared”. You can see at the top of the PDA display a symbol for the Connectivity. Touch it with the stylus-pen. As you can see there is a small window with the right name of connection and phone number that should be called. Click on the number and wait for a second.
After short time the mobile phone will dial the number.
