Driver scanner for Paperlite c100

I have just bought a Paperlite c100 scanner on ebay, but without the driver floppy disks. This model was originally issued in 1997 so is rather old now. I have looked at several web sites that claim to have drivers for this model, but don't seem to have them once the registration procedure has been completed. I need it to work with windows 98. Can anyone help?
thanks, Mike

Restore disks are, without exception, model or series specific - so giving a make / model / series number would help. That being said, hunting down something 6, 7 yrs old ain't easy (unless you own one of the best sellers). Best bet for any type of restore media is eBay - you'll want the "original" restore disk(s) which will be hard to find. . Best alternative is to figure out what OS your computer came with, go to the manufacturer's support site, and see if the drivers and utilities are available - most manufacturers are pretty darn good in this area - download them, then get a generic OS installation disk (Windows, etc.) and do a fresh install.

My preference is always the abovementioned alternative: your computer will run lighter and faster - you'll be without all the bundled / free / trial software that came with the restore media, but you'll be running without all the dated / marketing **** that your computer was originally sold with. You'll feel the difference right away!

I bought a laptop from ebay but every time i try to turn on the computer i get this media test fail and the screen shows error message non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready

Hello, the 'media test failure' message just means it's not got a network connected to it as it's trying all boot options to try to find a valid boot file somewhere (anywhere!)
Either you've got a floppy disk in the drive as all computers will attempt to boot from the A: drive if there's a floppy disk in it. Just eject it and try booting again.
Another possibility is that the previous owner of the laptop didn't want any of their data that may have been on it from getting misused, so erased the hard drive.
In this case, you'll have to buy a copy of the Operating System you wish to use, go to the HP support website and download all the drivers onto a memory stick and do a new install, which isn't a bad idea anyway as at least you know it'll be free of nasties and viruses.
Regards,
nicam49
p.s. the hp website is
www.hp.com/support
just answer the country q?, type in your model, and select download drivers.

Have original drivers on floppy but new PC has no floppy drv

Manufacturer web site is a good resource for drivers.

What did you do with the old computer, you have a network ... put your old computer on the network and use that floppy drive ... all you have to do is "share" the floppy and it will act as if the drive is on your new computer. Yo ucan also "map" the drive if you want.

If this answer pleases you, positive comments welcome

My new Dell laptop won't accept my old BenQ flatbed scanner Model no. 6678-9BU.

Many scanners are not compatible with new windows versions, probably the scanner does not work on Vista.
You need to find, download and install the driver for your scanner, if you have the original disk, try using athe disk.

Here is direct link to download . Register with the website first(Create a new account), then download from here:6678 driver (Benq)

If the disk does not install, or you find no drivers, that means the scanner is not compatible with your new system.

Bought a usb floppy drive reader to convert my floppies to my laptop. have plugged in the usb cord. what do I do now?

Its easy to use:

Step 1). Just on your lap.
After complete boot

Step2). Insert your floppy connector one end to your USB port of Lap.

Step 3). Double Click on My Computer Icon.
The my Computer will be open.
and if every thing is ok, a floppy disk drive icon [A: or B:] will be shown in the window.

Step 4). Insert your floppy disk into the Drive.
wait till the floppy disk drive light goes off.

Step 5). Double click on floppy disk drive icon [A: or B:].

and the content of the floppy will be open.

here are two links -- for DSB-C100 clear and white
they have driver links and manuals -- if you can match a manual you should be able to download your driver
DSB-C100 clear
http://support.dlink.ca/products/view.asp?productid=DSB%2DC100Clear

DSB-C100 white
http://support.dlink.ca/products/view.asp?productid=DSB%2DC100White

White does not seem to have drivers -- I would read the manual to assure they are needed.
