Creative Zen V plus used to work, now "There is an error with your device" MTP driver did not work.  But the MP3 player works fine on my friend's computer.

How can I get windows to forget everything it ever knew about this player and then reinstall the driver (I tried the traditional method of uninstalling from the device manager and reinstalling) it almost gets to the end, but then it fails.

It worked before, what did windows do? Anybody know?

I had the same problem but solved it, it seems that the usb driver does not always install with the software installation so you must install using the DEVICE MANAGER make sure first your mp3 player is connected, so ( copy & paste) your software to desktop, then go to CONTROL PANEL, then SYSTEM, then HARDWARE then DEVICE MANAGER, in device manager you should see ( zen v plus ) with a yellow question mark above it, which means the drivers are missing, click onto that and follow instructions to install the drivers which you will find in the software you have pasted to desktop. good luck, tony spain

This is a common problem when the battery is completely depleted. You may also see a windows pop up saying that an MTP device is connected. The first thing to do is to let the zen charge up at least some. The second thing is to go into the device manager in control panel and locate the MTP device under portable storage. Then right click on the MTP device from the list and UNinstall. Then, unplug your player, wait a few seconds and plug it in. Hopefully this time your software will load properly and your computer will recognize the zen.

First, syncing is the transfer of data between computer software's that are designed to acquire and share with another entity. The sync function usually is embedded in the computer program. Once the computer recognizes compatible software that has several capabilities including transferring data, a USB connection capacity should be achievable. Usually devices that are designed for data transferability should be capable of acquiring a USB connection either as physical cables or wireless Bluetooth technology. The power to sync is contained in the software program. Once software that has sync capabilities is installed on the computer, any USB cable that is attached to an empty port would display a user message asking for further procedures. For example, USB connections on the computer that has media software's would display device recognizes link requiring data transfer. The solution lies in the software that is relied on for sync capabilities. Acquire Windows Media player, Real One player, or ITunes player as downloadable onto the computer to achieve compatibility.

Important Notes

USB ports are available on all computers as versatile connection links to devices that would require communications. The computers original systems are expected to recognize USB cable connection as manufacturers default. Usually, the computer is likely capable of upgrading several software programs that would least communicate with the USB. For example, the program suit installed has compatibility requirements to perform on the computer as an entity. Also, the program suit requires compatibility with USB connection for another device that would be connected to the computer. Attempt to install media transfer programs that are designed with sync features.

My system is not supporting coby MP-7052gb I want coby software for file transfer

Your system should support it, most likely your computer doesnt recognize the device on MTP mode, you can switch this on the device, go to Setup Mode > System > USB Mode > put the USB Mode to MSC, and then reconnect the MP3 player to your computer, the MP3 player should then show up as a Removable Disk drive under 'My Computer'.

Computer wont play a video i recored with my camera on my sd card

I understand, if you are able to record on the SD card, make your computer to recognize it and lastly if you can transfer it successfully with no errors, we can make it to work by choosing an appropriate media player. I personally would recommend VLC player. Latest version of this software can be found in:
www.filehippo.com
Still if you are not able to open/run the media file. Let me know the type of file. I ll then according do a research and suggest a specific codec or a player that will support the file type.
File type can be found be right-clicking on the file and selecting Properties.

Issues downloading audio files from Sony minidisc to my computer

You can't. You can only transfer digital files from your pc to your Minidisc player., it's a one way street. there's no hack for it either as it's a basic hardware issue within the player itself.

If you want to download from the player to the pc you'll have to connect the audio output to your pc and record it the old-fashioned way which loses a bit of quality. All Minidisc compliant players were like this until the advent of the Hi MD format which succeeded the Net MD's as an anti-piracy measure.

Iriver E100 is not recognized on PC

That might be a blessing in disguise. I have never liked the non-MSD option, but I tolerate it. You should be able to transfer and view files with the computer recognizing it as an MSD device. If you insist on changing it, use the iRiver plus 3 software from iRiver's website to update the firmware on the player, and your computer will no longer treat it as a Mass Storage Device - don't say I didn't warn you.

I put previous files from my old pc onto my Zen hoping that I could transfer them onto my new Windows pc but I fear I've lost the data on my Zen completely. Arggh, any suggestions guys? Please..x

If your Zen V is dead, wont respond to anything, try this, plug it in to the computer, hold the power switch in the on position, THEN trigger the reset button, worked like a charm for mine, I had thought it a lost cause."
