Question about Smeg Washing Machines
SOURCE: Smeg WD1 12C, error code 10
Dryer temperature sensor (NTC thermistor) is faulty - short or out of circuit. You will need to get a tech to fix it for you.. It is not user servicable..

This means that the drain time has exceeded 8 minutes and the water valves have turned off. After 4 minutes the suds error is displayed then 4 minutes later the F2 error.
1.Check drain hose for kinks or cloggs
2.Check electrical connection at the pump and make sure the pump runs.
3.Check inside of pump for foreign objects
4.If none of the above fixes the machine replace the pump.

Take off the bottom panel (unplug unit first!) and unscrew the cap on the drain cylinder, be sure to have plenty of towels to soak up the water! pull out the center piece and check out all the treasures stored inside. Be sure to use a flashlight and lift up the black hose behind it to get any leftovers in the hose. I just did it today and could not believe how much stuff was in there...coins. pens, buttons, lost of wet lint had it clogged. The clothes finally don't smell!
