I have a Frigidaire PLHS67EEB4. I can't see how to disassemble the ice and water housing to replace lever. There are no visible screws or fasteners.

It should hook in on the front side of the dispenser towards the door first and then at the back as you would slide the tray in. Check to see if the grooves line up in the back where the motor sis to turn the wormgear. good luck

SOURCE: Frigidaire signaling water dispenser instead of ice maker

Sounds like the water solinoid valves are wired wrong. One activates The water dispenser. The other the ice maker. That, why every so often the water shoots out on the floor. The ice maker is telling the valve to open.

I have this issue too. Its in the dispenser bin. The auger in the back moves fine, but its not turning up front and spitting out the cubes. Gonna pull it apart and see what is up.

Bosch B26FT50SNS fridge. How to repair broken wire in left ice/water door?

To repair a broken wire in the left ice/water door of the Bosch B26FT50SNS fridge, it is possible to disassemble the left door water/ice dispenser. However, it is important to note that this process can be complicated and should only be attempted by someone with experience in appliance repair.

To begin, unplug the fridge from the power source and remove any items from the door shelves. Locate the screws that hold the dispenser cover in place and remove them using a screwdriver. Carefully pry off the cover and set it aside.

Next, locate the wire that needs to be repaired and determine where it is broken. Cut away any damaged sections of wire and strip the ends of the remaining wires. Twist together the ends of the wire that was cut and use electrical tape or wire nuts to secure them together.

Reassemble the dispenser cover by aligning it with the door and pressing it into place. Replace the screws that hold it in place and tighten them securely.

Finally, plug the fridge back in and test the ice/water dispenser to ensure that it is working properly.

In summary, to repair a broken wire in the left ice/water door of a Bosch B26FT50SNS fridge, you can disassemble the left door water/ice dispenser, locate and repair the broken wire, and reassemble the dispenser cover.

I replaced the ribbon cable on my Frigidaire refrigerator and the ice auger for the ice continue to run and water will not dispense when water dispenser is activated. I want to correctly replace the r

Hey friend, thank you for your inquiry!

From my understanding you were replacing the water dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator and the ribbon cable disconnected. I would suggest a generic search online for any additional information regarding the ribbon cable. I was unable to locate that information for you. Additionally, if you continue to have problems I would consult with a professional technician for proper attachment of the cable. Best of luck! -Matt

WHY DOES ICE MAKER NOT HAVE WATER, BUT WATER DISPENSER HAS WATER?

Good Morning Friend, thank you for your post!

From what you have described it sounds like your ice maker is not making ice but your dispenser is dispensing water. If your ice maker has stopped producing ice completely, here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may help you resolve your issue:

1.It may be turned off. Look for the wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If the wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. If so, try one of these: If your ice maker has a small red plastic lever, lower it to lower the wire. If there's no plastic lever, simply lower the wire. In either case, the ice maker should begin producing ice again.
2.Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If your freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.
3.When was the last time the filter was changed? Most filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency.
    4. The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice or have a clogged water filter. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!
5.Also the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, may need replacing if necessary. The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, then more than likely it will need to be replaced.

    Hope this helps! - Z

Frigidaire side by side water line clog

Hi -I understand that your unit is still not producing any ice or dispensing water. Some of the following steps you have already confirmed. I suggest confirmed the steps below and see if any is helpful :

1. It may be turned off.

2. Also make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

3. When was the last time the filter was changed? Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency. The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice or have a clogged water filter. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!

4. Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary. The ice maker head assembly may have broken parts. Look to see if the gears are broken. Check to see if the small plastic arms that rest against the ice rake are broken. If the ice maker head assembly is modular and you've found broken parts, you can just replace it.

I have a jenn-air jcd2389ges. The hole in the door where the ice comes down into your cup is broken. i believe the foam piece is busted

Here is a kit of the most likely parts that you are talking about=> 12001991 Ice Dispenser Solenoid and Door Kit Just disconnect the power and turn water off before beginning to ddisassemble the fispenser components seen here=> JCD2389GES Dispenser Components
1. Unplug the refrigerator power cord.
2. Remove the overflow grille from the housing.
3. Unsnap front cover at the bottom of the housing.
(using a flat blade screwdriver, and tape or pad, twist the screw driver, or pry out the bottom trim using the molded slots in the bottom of the trim panel).
4. Disconnect the front cover switch harness connector and set the cover aside.
5. Disconnect the power wire harness connector (BL/BK and W wires)
6. Disconnect the flapper door heater wire harness connector (if one is present).
7. Release the dispenser microswitch retainers and slide the switches off of their locator pins. Carefully handle the switches so they do not come apart.
8. Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the lamp holder.
9. Remove the two 1/4. hex head screws from the control bracket and remove the control bracket.
10. Remove the 1/4. hex head screw to remove the water fitting (fill spout) from the water dispenser lever.
11. Unsnap the ice guide and remove it from the ice dispenser lever.
12. Remove the air pot by sliding the rear of the air pot out of the slot molded to the dispenser housing and slip the linkage out of the flapper door mechanism assembly.
13. Unsnap the flapper door and remove it from the ice dispenser lever. While you remove the flapper door, carefully guide the flapper door heater wire and connector over the door mechanism assembly.
14. Remove the 1/4. hex head screw securing the dispenser levers pivot retainer to the dispenser housing and remove the retainer.
15. Remove the water dispenser lever.
16. Remove the ice dispenser lever by maneuvering it around the door mechanism assembly.
17. Pull the pin from the door mechanism assembly and remove the spring and mechanism assembly.
18. Reassemble in reverse order.
