You may have a plugged choke bypass port on the upper side of the carb opening. there is a little sensor that plugs into the side of the port and that is what shuts the engine down because there is no flow of air. i drilled a small hole in the choke butterfly bypassing that port. worked fine.

My briggs an stratton 2 stroke rover mower starts good cold and goes well for a little while then stops and wont start again until its cold.gaskit on the exhaust looks cracked to.iv checked fuel ant plug...

If the engine has a float bowl, turn off the fuel tap if present, hold a jar or similar under the bowl to catch the gas, remove the float bowl by unscrewing the bolt underneath it, turn on the fuel tap and check the gas flows freely. If it doesn't, then there is a blockage along the fuel line, in the fuel filter or the valve which lets the fuel into the float bowl.

Powers up for a few seconds then cuts out and goes dead

Make sure your extension cord can provide 13 amps or greater of current. The longer the extension cord the more current it requires to supply the 13 amps to your power washer. If your unit has a long extension cord it could pull more than the typical 15 amps used for a household circuit breaker. If you do not have an adequate circuit breaker it will continue to trip. Plug the unit directly into the power receptacle or use a larger current rated power cord and power receptacle. If the problem persists then the unit could be pulling too much current due to motor restrictions.

Kew Alto Force X-TRA cold water supply pressure sensor problem

Have the same p-washer (5-6 years old) and the same problem. Opened it and the pressure switch is the crook. A plastic pin has an inner and an outer spring on it (two consentric springs). The smaller inner spring is completely rusted away so the switch no longer operates correctly. Obviously the spring was of a too low quality. The service office say a new switch cost around 400NOK (50 euros) - so the washer is too expensive to mend. But I will try to get it working without the inner spring. Doubt if I succed. So will have to dump the washer.

Hesistation on pressure when trigger is pulled get n worse

Unloader valve is the most likely suspect here.
Remove and clean with penetrating oil then reinstall.

Also add some LIGHT oil into your supply hose via a small funnel. 3-in-1 household oil or power steering fluid lubricate the valve and pump quite well. Three or four treatments of a couple ounces each will usually make the pump happy again. If this unit has an OIL-FILLED pump on it you can expect good results. If it runs an OIL-LESS pump it is only rated for about 100 total hours of life!
Hope this helps.
