Need more information. Cable or DSL are you connecting this router/access point to? AOL is a additional service to DSL or Cable, if it is dialup = this router will not work.

If you want to connect it on a secured connection then do this.... open internet explorer...put in the address bar as : 192.168.1.254 press enter then it will take you to the thomson page on thomson page on left side click on the last tab home network....then on the right side under home network click on  wlan it will take you to the new screen on that click on the tab at the top right corner configure on the new page chek that the first option interface enabled is checked... then 3 options under that you'll find an option of network name ssid clear that box and put in a new name for wireless network it could be anything but not any previous name that you have already used for your wireless network... three options under that there is another one that is channel selection that is to be on automatic and 2 options under that channel should on 6 if not go back to channel selection and change it to manual then change channel to 6... 2 options under that  there is an option of security under that select third one use wpa psk encryption 2 options under that it ask you to put wpa psk key put in a key anything more than 8 characters and apply it... then open control panel on your comp  there you will find an option of network connections or network and sharing center then double click wireless net connections select your net and get connected... if any issues revert back...

I have connected my Belkin wireless adapter to my laptop computer and where can I get the Network key?

The network key will be dependent on the settings of the router providing you with the wireless signal, not the adapter receiving it.

Wont work my belkin usb

All wireless adapters use the same radio channels so your adapter will work with your router. (If that wasn't the case, it wouldn't be so easy to connect to networks with a laptop with built-in wireless.)

Belkin wireless G+ usb adapter

AOL has been and will always have problem (had to do repairs on AOL computers since 1994)

If you have a DSL or Cable connection why pay again for AOL? That means you are paying twice for the same internet connection - and AOL causes lots of problems.

For AOL problems, it is best to contact AOL.

Belkin n wireless usb speed problem

Hi,

For your connection to reach 300 MBps, not only must your Belkin WiFi USB adapter be an N, so must your Access Point/Router also be N capable.  Additionally, your Internet/DSL connection would also be a limiting factor on your Internet Connection speed.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Connection problems

Is wireless connection enabled in your routers wireless settings and not encrypted in any way until a connection is established. Make sure your router is set to enable DHCP, as this will give your wireless card an IP address automatically. Ensure your card is set to obtain an ip address automatically. If not look in your routers setup(normally by typing 192.168.2.1, in your internet browser) to see what IP address and DNS address it has given your connected pc (eg 192.168.2.3). Then go into your cards properties and use the IP address 192.168.2.4, but the same DNS address(probably 255.255.255.0); then re start the wireless pc and the router if neccasary. If you still get no connection, ensure wireless light is on; on your router, and you have no obstacles in the way of the signal. If you are using WEP encryption it is normally a Shared key setting rather than an open key setting. Please reate this solution.
