This looks like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:

How to Rejuvinate Your Motorbike Leathers

So here's how to. Its actually real simple but can be time consuming if doing a colour change.

Can be used for your old faded set, ones you've had a slide in or even if your looking for a colour change.

1. Go to any shoe repair shop that sells Leather spray dye's in lots of colors.

2. Also you need the leather deglazer.

3. Prep leathers, clean, dry and deglaze the area you want to color.

4. Mask the area you want to color , this is what is time consuming. it gets real messy.
Pic of lowside damage

5. Apply dye roughly 4 or 5 coats (if changing colours, less if just touching up). This takes awhile cuz it take long to dry inbetween coats and work on one area at a time.
Pic of Repair (still fresh)

6. When all finished let the Leathers sit to fully dry and cure for 4 days to a week if possible.

And now for the all important pics.
This is what the suit looked like before

I believe there is a capasitor (SP?) blown. or maybe two. I snapped a few pictures to show what I mean... I got the amp for free. the guy said it kinda works but it is broken. he is 16 and im pretty sure...

Those 2 capacitors are definitely blown.
if you look on the side there should be a reference, something like 12v 400uf or pf.
do a google search for that capacity, they shouldn't cost too much (probably less that $1 each but I'm not sure as we buy in bulk).
Just remember though that if you do replace them, make sure they are polarized.. This means they have a Positive (+) and negative (-) and make sure that you position them to the correct polarity on the pcb or they will blow again, so make sure you put the cover back on or you could get a face-full of electrolyte.
Also you have to remember that they may not be the only faulty parts, something must have caused them to blow in the first place, that could be a few things, from overload (high voltage or hight current), extended use at high volume or other faulty components.
Regards
Mike

Couldn't see them, but if they were black, or distorted, or strange colors, read on. If your pictures looked strange, it's probably due to a defective CCD imager. If so, Sony should fix this for you for free under their recall advisory, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status.
