Did u check your problem with different sim cards if this problem continues with other cards then the problem should be in your phone.
or if this problem is with your sim card only then u should update your mobile software
i think this might be solve your problem.

Sim card error contact sim card provider

This is probably a problem with your SIM card. You should visit your carrier's store or contact them and request a replacement SIM. They probably will not charge you at all.Getting a new SIM is definitely the first step.

I am using nokia 5130 .but it was some problem, some times my mobile showing sim card regestration failed

Perhaps there is some loose connection of the SIM card to the SIM card holder and contacts. So remove the battery and the SIM card., Use a paper to polish the SIM card contacts and the contacts on the holder. Make sure that the SIM when placed fits well into the holder firmly and in place , If not you can lift up the contacts very carefully so that the SIM never loses contact.
If this wont solve there are errors in the main board which might need more attention with help from Nokia care.

Changed tmobile sim card to a wing but contacts do not show

Before you remove the sim card from your old phone, you need to import all of your contacts from the old phone to your sim card. On most phones the contacts are stored on the phone, and not the sim card.

I have 2 nokia phones.... one 5800 and one 1661... i save all my contacts to my SIM card.... the 5800 shows i have 198 contacts... but when i switch phones.... the 1661 shows that i only have 16...

It could be two things, first off make sure you are actually going to the sim card on the 1661, I believe you need to go into the settings of the address book and specify to copy from sim device to phone book, otherwise you will only see contacts stored in the 1661's flash memory.

If you are certain you are viewing the contacts on the device then it is a compatibility issue on the SIM device between the two phones. I recommend you take the two phones along with the SIM in question to your nearest wireless network provider office, they will be able to verify that it is either a compatibility issue, defective sim, or just a simple error in where the contacts are viewed.

This should cover ever possible scenario.

Thank you so very much for the opportunity, this should definitely help you out!

Your SIM Card is like a floppy disk, so if you want to permanently add those people from your sim card to your Blackberry - you need to copy from the SIM into the BB Address Book. Otherwise they will be on the SIM Address Book, and you can always go look them up - but they are not saved on the BB itself.

BB: To access your cell phone address book:
  1. Scroll to select the ADDRESS BOOK icon and press [Trackwheel] to select.
  2. Press [Trackwheel] again to access the Menu screen for the address book.
  3. Scroll to select the SIM PHONE BOOK and press [Trackwheel] to select.
  4. system should say LOADING SIM PHONE BOOK.
  5. Then if you select the menu - you should have an option to COPY ALL TO ADDRESS BOOK, select YES so it will copy whats on the SIM to the BB Memory..
This will start the download process to read the contacts stored on your SIM card which were copied from your cell phone.

Problem over sim contacts

If you have an unblocked iphone and have put your old sim card in, then your iphone won't read the sim. All phone numbers are stored on the iphone not your sim.
Ive tried a few ways to read it but no success. Sorry.
