Yesterday I rolled over on my remote and the tv got stuck in video mode. To make matters worse, I broke the remote. Today I got a new one, but have tried everything I can think of to get back to tv mode. I programmed the new remote for my tv. The only things that work are the on/off button and the mute and volume buttons. Any suggestions?

Universal remote alway work only the basic for the tv.Beyond that will have problems or stuck in some input or modes.Sorry i can't help u, because i don't know what is the reaction to ur tv by the universal remote, must use the universal remote again tries all the buttons like video modes or input botton.Or take the battery out like 20 mins of the universal remote to erase ur tv codes enter it again.Tries those buttons u pushes before, see if u can get out the video mode. All else fail.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to use.
I would check to see if the Input button is stuck on the front panel of TV. If it is not stuck then it is probably still bad. Tactile switches are notorious for failing in this manor. The only real fix if it is not stuck down is replacing the switch.
I hope this helps,
Yippie, I figured out a solution that worked!!! I have a univeral remote from comcast, on that remote near the bottom left is a small button that says (input) tv/vcr, press that one time and whala!! the tv video screen was gone, I had to manually change the channel from the tv channel button on the unit. once I changed the channel to 3, my universal remote worked... the button is the second one from the bottom left... I was on hold with sanyo for a long time and just kept trying on my own, so good luck!!!!
First check for a button which is stuck down (activated) on the TV & remote. I have seen a stuck button on a remote box continually sending a command to the TV.
Also, try unplugging the set so the microprocessor will reset.

I just bought this same TV at a yard sale today. There was no remote and it had the same problem. I used autoprogrtam feature of my cable remote to use the TV part of the that remote. With that remote I was then able to change video inputs and access all the menus properly.
