Question about Seagate FreeAgent Go 250 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive
Have a FreeAgent Go Data Mover (portable HD) purchased this morning but it will not install as a plug and play ... OS xp pro.
Light keep flashing on new drive. "After your data mover lights up, a dialogue window will appear and tell you what to do next." THIS does not happen. NOT a 250 GB but a 120GB
If your USB ports do not supply enough power (older computers) then the drive may fail to show up in My Computer.
The Seagate should have a special Y cable. There are two USB connectors on one end that must both plug into your computer - one for data and power - the other for power only. The other end of the cable has the mini USB which plugs into the Seagate.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
