I used my camera on Sunday. When I went to use it again on Monday, my camera would not turn on. I charged my battery just incase this was the issue. When I put the charged battery back in the camera, it still wouldn't turn on. Help.

Same as the others. One day taking pictures fine. The next it won't turn on. Charged the battery. No change. Just appears dead.

    Regards,

I have had my camera for 18 months, and it just didn't turn on one day. I tried cleaning the battery compartment, charged the battery, etc., but nothing worked. I emailed customer support at Cannon, and they said "sorry." I'm so not a Canon fan.

I would first check the little plastic switch for the battery door being closed. Try pushing that in and turning it on with the battery in. Using a fully charged battery helps also. If these don't work you may have a blown fuse or component on the PCB.

I have a cannon power shot SD600. I bought a memory card, and the camera says memory card error. I can't even fomat the card because the function won't high light.

Did you get an SDHC card? The SDHC protocol was developed after the SD600 came out, and the SD600 is not compatible with it. Use SD cards with a maximum of 2GB storage capacity.

My PowerShot SD600 Digital Elph camers has taken lots of pictures. But, today when I turn it on, it says card locked! Any ideas on how to unlock this?

Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny switch on the side of the card to its other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera. But if you've already tried this, see this link for additional troubleshooting tips for this problem.

My cannon power shot sd600 viewer doesnt turn on

Sounds like you accidentally pressed the DISP or DISPLAY button on the back of your camera. This manually turns the LCD screen on and off to save batteries. You would then use the optical viewfinder in its place. Try pressing this button one more time to see if it turns back on.

On the menu wheel, it's the one on the bottom that looks like a clock. In picture mode, press down to activate it, press the shutter button and picture will be taken in 10 sec.
