Question about EliteGroup ECS 945GCT-M/1333 Motherboard - v3.0, Intel 945GC, Socket 775, MicroATX, Audio, Video, PCI Express
Hi Ladies/Gents , I tried playing with the set up menu and after trying to make some changes, when booting up it could not even go to the setup menu. I am now stuck with the first screen showing only American Megatrends startup message .
Appreciate help .
Many thanks David
Shugster is right - had the same exact problem. After removing and replacing battery, it took 15-30 seconds for the F1 message to display. Then I could set my date time and boot sequence. After doing that and rebooting, it takes 15-30 seconds (a lifetime!) to get past that first screen - there are no beeps, it just looks hung, so be patient.

David i take it you mean you played with the bios screen ?
if so you can remove the power cord then open the side of the computer and remove the bios battery (big silver watch type battery on the mother board) leave it for around 15 mins replace the battery then the power cord you will find an error screen when you switch on.
its normally f1 to load default settings and continue the boot
that should solve it
