Need to replace fan blade. doi just the other blade off or do i need a tool

You should be able to get the fan off w/ a small screwdriver & some needle nose pliers for the metal clamp that holds the fan onto the shaft. Look on Google for suppliers to get a new fan & clamp. It shouldn't be expensive.

The fan stopped working on our Living air classic XL15 so we just changed the motor. The machine comes on but the fan doesn't. Is there a reset button that needs to be reset? Or something else to do?

Sometimes you have to give the fan a push with your finger. If that didn't work, check all connections, fuses, etc. Sometimes things get jarred. If you changed out the connections at the ends of the wires (they include new ones with the replacement motors) you may need to make sure that you connected and/or crimped them correctly.

The fan on my living air purifier doesnt turn anymore. Occasionally when I first turn the fan on, it will "try" to turn but stops almost immediately. do i need to replace the fan motor? Is it something I...

I just bought a used one of these at a sale. Horribly dirty, grimy, rusty, etc. Anyway, similar problem with fan. Clean it off and WD-40 or silicon it. You should be able to see an almost immediate response unless it's another problem. My fan went from a low speed when turned on "High" and from a complete stop on "low" to actually turning on low. Anyway, I laid it on it's front, sprayed some 40 on the back fan bolt (pin, screw, whatever), then used a pen to click the safety so it would turn on with the back off and in less than a minute it was at full speed. Good luck!

Do I need a new fan blade if I replace the fan or will the old one go back on fairly easy? Ecoquest fresh air

If you need to replace the fan motor, the fan blade can be removed by grasphing the center hub of the fan and pull the fan straight out of the purifier. I remove it every time I clean my machine, since it easy to clean it once it is removed.

Fan blade broke

Remove the 4 screws on the front grill. Grasp the fan with both hands and pull the fan off. Kind of prying it out using your hands as levers works best. It may be stuck if you have never removed it for cleaning, which you should do, periodically. The new one slides on flush with the end of the shaft.

The problem is corrected, Thank You. I had spaced my numbers on my credit card, therefore it made it invalid. I found out about this, and re-ordered using the numbers with no spaces, and my order is placed and on it's way. Thank You very much for all your help. This is a terrific site for people with a problem. Very good service.

Fan replacement for Living Air Classic Purification System

Hello,

Since I'm forbidden to offer you one of my spares (per Fixya's terms & conditions), I'd go on the web and search for an EcoQuest dealer in your area - - they can get spare parts from the manufacturer.

If I can be of further assistance, or if you have questions, please let me know before rating me.

If this solves the issue, please rate it accordingly. My goal is to earn a "FixYa" rating from everyone I help.

Thanks for using Fixya.com,

Jon

Fan is not turning on

The fan motor is probably locked up. You can either put a little oil to free it up (usually a temporary fix) or better yet replace the fan motor.
