You dont have to use the cd if it says you need an updated version, just plug it in and go to the c: drive and it should show up as a removable disk

Ilo mp3 player

This could be caused by several issues - I will mention two likely possibilities. If you tell me what music service you are using, I can tell you more.

If you are getting a file format not supported error message, then the songs are in a format that the Mp3 player doesn't recognize - you can read my 2-part article in the tips & tricks section to get more info about this.

If Windows Media Player is not recognizing the player, then that would also cause the sync to fail. Unplug and replug, try again. If that fails, uninstall and reinstall the player and all software, then replug the player into the computer.

Ilo mp3 player model mp-556

1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up.

2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.

Ilo mp3 red, computer doesnt see it connected

I had a problem with my ilo trying to get it to recognize and i finally switched my cord that i was hooking my mp3 up to my computer with. I dont know what other cords you have, but i used the cord from my husbands Creative brand mp3 player and it worked. I open it with the E drive file in the my computer link. From there, it'll say ilo and that will allow you to access it on your computer. Windows media also recognizes the ilo.
I hope this was helpful!

What kind of computer operting system are you using? [win_XP, ME (melliam edition),win_98,win_95(still around!) What type of software are you using?[win_media player, RealPlayer,Quick time, about 15 different types of programs] All work simulor and each tell the 'music, talk, data, etc'to change, convert, format a different way. not enought memory=won't work, not enought disk space=won't work.See if you can take the time to read the "Help" section of program. That helps me a lot with my problems.
