I also have the same problem , my Cyborg joy stick does not work at all with MS Combat Simulator. The stick also fails to opertate correctly with MS Flight Simulators. This is depite the fact that I have re-callorated the stick using the "Settings" facility.

I have exactly the same problem on my new dell so it must be a vista problem, maybe microsoft expect everybody to rush out and buy their hardware. I have downloaded the latest drivers from Saitek but to no avail,

control panel and windows know that it is there and even settings in combat simulator also show that the joystick is installed and working correctly but it will not work at all in the game since replacing my old xp computer with a new all singing/dancing model which won't do the things I would like it to do. I also have a problem with my Epsom printer software since changing to vista.

NB The joystick is a Saitek Cyborg evo wireless.

Come back XP All is forgiven.

SOURCE: MCFS Joystick Problem

Make sure, that your Joystick is compatible with the version you are having problems with. If not, make sure that it's enabled in the configuration of MCFS. If none of those work, you will most likely have to purchase a more compatible Joystick.

SOURCE: Microsoft Combat Simulator Doesn't work

You need the drivers from Saitek.com.

After selecting download > software, use the "Choose your Product Type) box. Select Joystick and you will find yours listed.

You need to know if you're using Vista or Vista64.

Install them, then plug your stick in. Should then work.

You need to edit your system's REGISTRY FILE...UNDER SOFTWARE... DELETE it (of coarse you'll have to use a different keyboard...) Then reboot & then reinstall... :-)

Combat flight simulator wont recognize my sidewinder precision 2 joystick on vista but it did on xp?

I am farmiliar with most flight simulators and know that you have to go to settings on the main menu the controls and select joystick, enable joystick and/or calibrate joystick. If this doesn't wok then in gameplay push "alt" on your keyboard if the task bar for flight simulator isn't at the top. Once or if it is allready there select settings and then enable joystick. If this doesn't work then call or contact or google microsoft flight simulator.

Vista OS

It does not work with vista at least not for me. And besides with XP and Vista you shouldn't have to install it anyway as both OS's have a feature called plug and play which means that when you plug it in via a USB port Windows Xp automatically recognize it and its driver. Thats one thing about XP thats so great XP just about recognizes every joystick and game pad driver there is without installing the pads software.
