screen says "no paper in tray"or "paper jammed",i have tried different thicknesses of paper batches in tray but it never seems to get to the turning wheel to move paper forward.thanks

My Canon MP600 is showing Error Paper output slot...The paper is jammed. Clear the paper and press OK. I cannot see any paper jammed in the printer but notice the Paper Feed switch (C) shown in the manual, does not allow the Cassette light to come on to enable a move from Auto Sheet Feeder to Cassette, as one might expect. Printer therefore does not work on either mode. Does this mean a new printer after just twelve months I wonder? Any bright ideas to help get things going would be appreciated. It's a right pain looking at a printer that does not work. Solutions please!

In addition, the print head (ink carrier) does not move when opening the service door inside the machine.

Step1
Turn the printer off and on to see if it can automatically clear some or all of the jam. Many printers provide an error-code listing on the front panel display for the area where the jam occurred. If your printer shows an error code, be sure and check the printer manual to see if that identifies the area of the printer where the jam occurred.
Step
2
Turn off the printer.
Step
3
Remove any paper trays. Inspect them for wrinkled or damaged paper.
Step
4
Open any other doors that give access to the printer's paper path and to the toner or ink cartridge.
Step
5
If necessary, remove the toner or ink cartridge. Place it in a bag or away from light to avoid damaging it.
Step
6
If you find a piece of jammed paper, remove it by holding it with both hands and pulling firmly (see A). The goal is to keep the paper from tearing. If several pieces are jammed together, try pulling out the middle piece first to loosen the jam.
Step
7
If the paper does tear, try rotating the roller gears manually to free the paper (see B). Don't force anything, though.
Step
8
Replace the toner or ink cartridge and paper trays, close any doors you opened and turn the printer back on.
Step
9
If the printer paper jam message still appears, then there is still some paper in the printer. Reinspect the paper path.

What Does E3 mean

E 3 means "Paper Jam". If there is no actual paper jam, but the error cod E3 is still there, it might be that something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there. First, remove the cartridges, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it to see if anything comes out. If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything, what you need to do is simulate a paper jam (it thinks there is one, so give it one!). Just shove a paper (120g or heavier) inside the printer (after lifting the hood up) so that a real paper jam would occur. When it starts trying to feed the paper through and its getting jammed lift the cover up and take the paper gently out. You'll then get a bunch of the lights flashing. Turn the printer off and then back on and you should be good to go.

HP PSC 1610 - Keep getting paper jam error with no paper jam.

Hi there ok Generally when this happens, something has fallen into the printer, or a piece of paper has been jammed in there.

First step, remove the ink cartridge, and turn the printer upside down and gently shake it, see if anything comes out.

If nothing goes, or you can't hear anything rattling around, get a piece of cardstock paper (60lb or heavier) and gently push this through the printer, to see if it will help push out what might be stuck in there

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Error code E-04

Hi,

I would check that there is nothing inside the paper feed system. The smallest piece of paper might cause a jam. Take the inks out and give the printer a good shake then put inks in and try again.

IHave you had a jam recently and pulled the paper out to clear it?

HP 2575 printer - paper jam message

Resetting the product may help with some false error messages. Press power button to turn printer off, unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, plug it back in, press power button to turn printer back on. Any luck?

Problem after jam paper

Turn off printer
-check for specks of paper inside the printer or parts that may appear to be damage.
-turn printer on

If you'll get the same error lights chances are there is an internal error. Sensor mechanism might be damage.
