Check the disk for scratchs and scuffs. It sounds like your disk has been damanged. If you have access to a computer with a CD burner you might try to make a copy of your disk, sometimes even a damanged disk can be copied. If this works, then use the copied disk in the computer to install XP. If not you will need a new XP disk.
Since they installed a generic copy of xp, there are none of the sony installed add-ons present on the computer. go here to view the available downloads for your system provided by sony, you will have to select the "EVERYTHING" tab to see the giga downloads if it does not load there.
Otherwise you will have to contact sony for a recovery disk specific to your system.
First, you really shouldn't post the id or the password on a public forum. Second, what type of error comes up? Are you unable to use the license id and password? If so, first be sure that the software is compatible with your operating system. If it is, contact the company for assistance.
