Question about IBM NetVista M42 PC Desktop
Have an ibm netvista 8307 trying to upgrade to 2GB (2x1GB modules) have tried both PC2700 333 and PC2100 266 DDR but neither seem to work as the pc refuses to boot after the installation. If i put the original memory 512MB (2x256MB) the pc boots.i couldnt understand what you replied as the solution.what ram do i need to buy?
First try Using one at a time, since its not advisable to use memory chips with variable bus speeds i.e (333 & 266).
Since IBM Computer are little complicated i would suggest your to call the customer care or Tech support for assistance in buying a Memory module. In that way you can cross check the memory module you have bought is compatible with the computer.
