When trying to send an SMS from my Palm LifeDrive through the Moto v3a RAZR over AllTel wireless to a recipient, the PDA displays an error message, "The phone was unable to handle your request." What can I do to resove this? The phone is paired with the pda, but I can't get anything to go through.

clean up ALL your messages.
For some reason when you are full up on messages instead of telling you it will just start sending MMS instead of SMS messages.
Just got to Menu > Messaging > Options > Cleanup Messages > All
After that, it will start sending SMS again.
I have this phone. If you plan on having a Motorola Phone for quite some time I highly suggest the Motorola Phone Tools for your computer. But you should just be able to connect the phone to your computer with a USB cord, open up My Computer (give the computer time to recognize the phone and you MAY need to download the Motorola Driver (can be found on most driver websites)) and the drag your music files to your removable storage (your phone). MPT also allows you to crop any song from your computer and send to your phone as a ringtone. Hope this helps =)
Sounds like the phone isn't detecting that it has been closed. I have had a reconditioned v3a and to be honest, there was no difference between it and my old one. It looked brand new, and acted brand new. In fact, it even had a 0:00 call timer on it. I'd say let them replace it.
