I have checked the voltage and the 3 fuses with a volt meter and everything is fine. I checked the dryer door swtich and the light comes on. I checked the drum belt and its good. I can turn the timer switch and hear clicking when set to a manual time. It appears its either the timer switch or the motor. How can you test the timer switch or motor?

Beko DRVS 62 W Tumble Dryer Squeakig

I had a problem similar to this on my Frigidaire dryer. I found that there is a felt ring that goes around the drum inside. This acts like a washer to prevent the drum from rubbing on the housing. On mine, the felt somehow got pushed in some and the drum was squeeking as it rotated. I had to order a whole new drum and replace it since on my model it was part of the drum.

Your glides are probably gone and the drum is riding on the plastic bearing that the glides mount to. Glides are easy to replace. I made a video:

Roper dryer model REX 3514RQ1. dryer works for/then quits. help!!

I have seen this before. You have got to remove the housing for the filter. Blow out the area around the blower and get the junk out of there. Wash out the filter housing.

Dryer was working. I moved it to new house. Dryer doesn't work

Hi Ken,
I believe that it purely coincidence that you just moved and the dryer failed. I suspect that the thermal limiter is the culprit. Follow this link and you'll see it (number 10 in the drawing).

You can test this theory but you'll need to UNPLUG THE DRYER FIRST!!!

Access the front of the blower housing and remove the 2 wires from the limiter and connect them together (effectively by-passing the limiter). Now insulate them with vinyl (electricians) tape. OK, plug the dryer in and turn it on. If it fires up, there ya go!

Remember, this is a safety device that you just jumped out. The dryer should not be run until it is replaced with a factory OEM part. You can find 'em here.

If this test did not identify the problem, write back and we'll go deeper into it.

I need to change a dryer belt on GE model DBxR463EBoWW electric dryer we have the belt on but it is loose

First, make sure you are using the proper belt. For your model
DBXR4630WW that would be a part number WE12M29. Next, the grooves of the belt touch the drum. Now, looking at it from the front side, the belt goes from the left side of the drum directly to the motor drive pulley, then around the tensioning pulley, and then back to the bottom right back around drum.
