Question about Baby Lock Eclipse Serger

Pro line Baby Lock timing

After reading your posts, I believe I need to adjust my timing. I have a Baby Lock ProLine BL 5000n. Sweet machine. It won't pick up the bobbin thread. I've tried multiple rethreadings, bobbin changes, new needles and (gasp) even reading the manual. I did break a needle at the end of my last sucessful sewing session - so I'm pretty confident that it's the timing (said the rookie).

I would like to learn how to adjust the timing. Help Please!

I have a Babylock proline 7800 and the needle keeps hitting the pressure foot and breaking. I suspect it needs to be timed. Does anyone have the instructions on how I might attempt to do this? I am pretty handy and I think I would like tot o give it a try.

I am trying to figure out how to disengage the blade on a BL4-738D Pro line serger. I do not have the book and not figure out how to do it.

Most serger upper blades can be "flipped" out of the way by pushing in and rotating it at the same time. HOWEVER, remember it is not recommended to run the machine with the blade deactivated. The loopers can be damaged/broken when they contact fabric that has not been trimmed.

My aunt just gave me this Baby Lock Pro Line Serger BL4-738D 4 Thread Is this a good machine.

Baby Lock is a very good serger. Have you ever used one before? If not, be sure to read through the manual carefully before you try to use it. They're not just like other sewing machines. Enjoy.

I cannot get the bobbin to wind because it won't engage. I've got it threaded properly according to the manual. Any ideas?

the bobbin winding spindle probably needs to be checked to see
if it needs some adjustment.
