When playing a DVD, my Bose 3-2-1 DVD player's picture is not connecting to my Vizio Smart TV, only the sound.

  1. Make sure the video cables are properly connected. The cables that connect the DVD player to the TV should be securely plugged into the correct ports on each device. Double-check that the cables are not loose or damaged.
  2. Check the input source on your TV. Make sure the TV is set to the correct input source that the DVD player is connected to. For example, if the DVD player is connected to HDMI 1, then the TV should be set to HDMI 1 as well.
  3. Check the TV's settings. Some TVs have a "picture in picture" or "picture by picture" feature that may be turned on, preventing the main picture from showing.
  4. Check the DVD player's settings. Some DVD players have a setting that controls the aspect ratio of the picture. Make sure this is set correctly for your TV.
  5. Check the TV and DVD player compatibility. Some TV's are not compatible with older DVD players and this could be the reason for the lack of picture.

MY PICTURE IS GREAT,BUT NO SOUND. WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT?

Make sure TV is not muted.Make sure the TV is not set to SAP (secondary audio protocol)Make sure TV input is correct (someone may have accidentally pressed the "aux" input button or similar causing the TV to use an input with no sound going to it)Make sure there is not a pair of headphones connected to the TV audio out jack on the side or front of your TV.Check all of the cables that are connected into the back of your TV. (it is possible the TV was moved slightly and a cable has become disconnected or loose)If you have a receiver or surround sound connected to your TV, turn it on and see if you get sound coming from the external speakers.Turn off the TV, cable box, and anything else connected to the TV. Sometimes turning everything off and then back on can fix the problem. If using an "S" video cable into an input on the back of your TV, these cables carry no sound, just video, so make sure you connect an audio cable too.Hook up an external device to the "TV audio out" input. This will be the test to see if it is a TV circuit board malfunction or the speakers are faulty in your TV.If you are connected to a satellite box, use the included remote and go into the "menu". Check to make sure sound settings are set correctly.

Green screen with sound from cable, but picture is fine with Wii

That would be my solution. The trouble is either in the box or your connecting cables. Verify this by connecting the cable directly to the set. Then try a new set of connecting cables, or call the cable provider to replace the box.

No Picture from Component Input #1 or #2 but do have audio via Surrond Sound

Simplest thing would be that your component cables are not HU'd correctly. Having them reversed would do this.

No sound dell 32in tv

These are the answers straight from the dell manual. Ensure that the audio cables are firmly connected to both the audio input connectors on your LCD TV and audio output connectors on your PC or Video player. If on certain TV channels you receive a picture but no sound, this means that you do not have the correct TV system. Modify the SYSTEM setting. Check if TV volume is turn off of muted Connect the audio cable securely Audio cable is connected incorrectly Verify that the audio source is selected correctly in the OSD

Hitachi 42" plasma TV (42PD6600)

IF you are saying that every thing is connected properly check your video cable it could be bad use a new one if that does not rectify your problem it is time to call in the tech you could be having problem in your video circuit but you did not mention if the screen light up with no picture but with sound or it does not light up blank with sound.however there could be two things 1 if the screen lightup with normal sound it could be a leaky ,open, or shorted, transistor or ic in the IF circuit.2 If the screen does not light up and has normal sound it could be a defective horizontal stage.so it is time you take the set to a tech for repairs.good luck.
