Question about Canon PIXMA MP170 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I had a paper jam and pulled the paper out of the top. Paper was in tack but now the peper jam message and alarm stays activated.
I have tried to clear the paper jammed message after several attempts with 90# paper, new cartriges, etc. etc. How do I "reset" it so that it works.
Try turning you printer off and unpluging it from Electrecity.
after that cancell all the printing jobs at your computer.
and last do a double check on the printer to make sure that there are no more paper left-overs into the printer.
try turning the printer on (after pluging to Electricity) and see what happen.

Tips for a great answer:
Clearing credit card-sized paper jammed inside the printer
Credit card-sized and 4" x 6" sized paper must be loaded properly. If this media is not loaded properly, it will feed into the printer and will not exit. Credit card-sized paper should only be loaded in the ASF and in portrait orientation. 4" x 6" sized paper can be loaded in the ASF or cassette. But must be loaded portrait orientation.
If credit card-sized paper was loaded in landscape orientation in the ASF and did not eject (exit), please follow this procedure.
