Small click sounds are the result of the door trying to lock and not be able to F DL is a door latch fault, which most of the time is occuring from either a faulty connection to the door latch(wire loose), or a faulty CCC(central control unit). locatd under main top mounted to rear of cabinet. as far as the smell issue, usauallly a result of over use of detergents. you MUST use an HE detergent (HE detergent is speciffically designed for use in front loading machines) and very little of (manufacture calls for 2-3 tablespoons), theres a new product on the market WWW.AFRESH.COM to help cleanout your machine.

Whirlpool top loading washer, LXR9245EQ2, quit agitating, spinning and makes a clacking noise, pump looks like it's still holding the water in the tub though and won't pump out?

There are two clips that hold the pump to the motor, remove it and inspect, turn pump axle in either direction. If not replace the pump. However if you remove it you may find a sock or something in which case you can remove item and put back into service. If jammed you need to replace with a new pump. Good luck, masta tech
P.s.if water remains in tub it has something blocking it, be ready to capture any water in tub when removing hose clamps. If it a small amount you may be able to just lean it backward to hold water.

Washing machine won't start. Is there a reset?

Is the start switch pushing in? We just had ours doing that and we found that the plastic parts that hold the start button in had broken and turned preventing the switch from pushing in far enough to hit the switch. Will try to upload some pictures later. The plastic in the front panel has gotten very brittle and small sections such as the part to hold the button and the clips to hold the circuit boards were breaking.

Make sure you hold the start button for about 5 sec. Then Take the front bottom cover off ( 3 screws- real easy) when facing the front look at bottom right and there is a little metal switch make sure that the swith is making contact or push it back and hold it and push the start button again for 5 sec. it worked for me, hope it helps.

Whirlpool front load washer LHW0050PQ often will not start

Unplug the washer for 10 min. This will reboot the circiut board. Select one cycle. Selecting too many cyles in a short period or pushing too many buttons in a short period can overwelm the little brain in the board.

Whirlpool Duet Sport not running it makes clicks and it grinds

A common problem with noises from washing machines has been the under wire that may come out of small clothes. In the washer they can get stuck in one of the inner basket holes and make a scrapping noise, they can actually make there way into the pump and jam the pump, or make a terrible noise when the pump is running. Grab a flash light and have a peek inside the washer for this. Front load washers seem very common to this happen! If the tiny cloth is showing signs of fraying, may be best not to wash it in the washing machine, replace the cloth.=======
It's noisy Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

It doesn't spin
It doesn't agitate
It's noisy
It leaks
It's off balance
There's no hot water
There's no cold water
It's slow to fill
There's no water at all
The clothes are wet after spinning
The cycle doesn't advance
There's no delicate or regular spin or agitate
It's overfilling
It's underfilling
The water temperature is incorrect

Hope this may help;
