It sounds like your running wireless. Go to where you saw different router name. It probably should be an icon on your taskbar. If this is the case, right click on the icon and clink on show available wireless networks. Yours should be listed. The laptop may have connected to someone elses or a wireless nic card you have in another pc or someone's close bt. Just click on your network and say connect. This should fix your problem.
