94 acura turn over but does not start, i pulled a spark plug wire when it was running and it die on me

sounds like the autoshutoff relay may be bad..it controls the ingition and the fuel pump too..if the pump works check for spark by inserting a screwdriver into a pulled off spark plug wire and look for a decent spark between the screwdriver shaft and any ground like the block..if no spark the relay may not be powering up the ignition system..

jump timing loosen distributor and plus or minus turn and retighten

does the car turn over or just nothing if the car turns over but just dont start check to make sure your getting fuel if your gettin fuel make sure your getting spark pull a wire off take out spark plug and put wire on plug while spark plug out of engine have someone turn over engine if you see a blue spark your ok if its orange replace your igniton coil and or distrubutor cap and rotor depending on what your car has one or the other if both of those look good replace the crankshaft postion sensor it is behind the harmonic balancer pully or the crankshaft pully bottom most pully on engine you have to pull that pully off and replace sensor and re install sensor instalation tool may be required you can rent them from autozone for free pay when you pick it up then get all your money back when you return it thats were i would start lmk how it goes

It could and most likely is a faulty Fuel pump.

This is usually the ignition module, what happens is the ignition component reaches a certain temperature then archs out and fails, when the car does this pull out one of the spark plugs to see if spark is present but do it before the engine has a chance to cool. I t also may be the ignition coil try the coil first since this component can be purchased on ebay motors fairly cheap also I recomend ebay motors for the ignition module to save money.

U pull a spark plug wire off, then stick a plastic handle screwdriver into the end of the plug wire and hold it next to metal of the engine, have someone crank the engine over and you will hear and see a spark

you probbably damaged the distributor coil when you pulled the wire off
recommendations:
try pulling battery lose for few and see if it helps
replace distibutor coil and wires to plugs and replace plugs

Pull off the hat and lay it up on the wipers. Run plug wires from the coil adapter towers to the plugs. Run a ground wire to ground the hat. Check for spark with a spark tester one wire at a time. Don't get near it when you have a friend crank it, there is enough voltage in the ignition system of a 2.3 quad 4 to kill you. I'm not kidding, just be careful.

Have u checked for spark? U can pull a plug wire off, install a plug in the wire (saves u from taking a plug out), place plug on metal surface, crank engine while someone watches for a spark. If no spark check coil and ignitor (inside distributor). If u have spark check to see if u have gas making it to plugs. Crank engine over (no more than 10 seconds, give it a 10 second rest, try again for 10 sec. etc, ) After doing this for several minutes, pull a plug and check it--it should be wet from gas. If the plug is dry, u aren't getting gas (change fuel filter, check fuel pump). countrycurt0
