Removing speaker from door in 2003 Dodge Durango

I need help in getting the inside door panels off in order to remove a damaged speaker.

I removed the two screws in the lower panel, but it will not budge! I cannot see any other screws but the panel is being held in place. Do I need to go to a dealer or car audio shop to get the speakers replaced?

The panel is held down by screws and plastic clips. Make sure the arm rest/handle doesn't have any screws in it either. The plastic clips will pop out with enough force. (This is how all of my cars doors were designed.)

Want 2 remove stock speakers n install after market. Need 2 know how 2 remove stock speakers corectly

There are several sites that offer step by step procedures to remove stock speakers, for a small fee. Most replacements involve removing the door panel. I strongly recommend coughing up the minimal cost for these directions. You can replace your speakers, and if you sell your car, you can replace the stock speakers back where they go.

You need a window crank removal tool or...a really small pick tool to remove the horseshoe shaped clip that holds the window crank on. Be careful when removing...it may fly across the room and you'll spend an hour looking for it. Also, go to metraonline.com, enter your vehicle info and the speaker sizes for your vehicle will be displayed.

How to replace

NEED TO KNOW WHAT TYPE OF VEHICLE ???
But on most at the ft doors fiirst remove arm rest they should have plastic pop out screw covers
...remove covers and screws also the inside door handle will have screw also to help hold the door panel in place...if you have crank windows it takes a window crank removal tool....you will have to have this tool unless you have are familiar with these.....you can use a small long nose pair of needle nose plyers to remove the inside clip or a pair of hemostats .The clip is located at the inside center of the crank...some older models have a screw cover also at the inside center and is held on by a screw ....then start at the bottom of door panel with plastic panel remover tool (OR SCREWDRIVER) pop one side loose then grab and pull carefully with hand ..you may have to pull hard some will pop loudly and sound like it is breaking plastic..it will have plastic inserts...only pull bottom out and you should be able to reach the speakers....they are screwed in place...rear speakers I have to know what vehicle it is or else I could give wrong info...also for dash ....
write back with info if you can...........hope this helps.......................metalpoet

Wiring Apine SPS-600C speakers

hey there,i hope the project turns out great,
1) round up all materials needed such as door components and indash radio, install plug for aftermarket radio, get a radio install kit they are like 10-15 bucks ,and if ur doing a double din radio you will have to cut trim to fit and inside compartment behind radio, but if your doin stock 1 din you will be fine.
2) in order to get to radio in dash you must pull dash bezel off from around gauges and radio and the radio has push down release tabs on both sides of radio ...push these down and pull radio outwards.
3) use new wire plug harness and install radio using install kit so radio sits in it and slides back in with tabs.
4) door panels come off with (3)crews that are 7mm near door handle, bottom of door near speaker, and inside where the switch panel is.must pull up switch panel to get to screw others are visible.
5) take mirror cap off and lift upwards on panel the whole panel will come off make sure to unplug vanity light at bottom door and all switches.remove n set to side door ....remove speaker and unplug then install new speaker cut plug install new crimped wire connector caps and install speaker and do reverse to put door back on and this go's for the otherside as well.
6) if theres more to your system write back with any ?'s ok ill try to help as much as possible.

couldn't find anything about the network?

I dont know how to install stereo speakers in my citroen saxo VTR near the rear seats. how can i do this?

First you have to remove the old ones...

You cannot just clip out the rear speakers, as the cover over them is attached to the rear panel (2 door Saxos)

In order to take out the rear speakers, from what I remember...

1) Take out rear seats

-Get yourself in the car through one of the front doors
-Once inside face toward the rear seat
-Reach for gap between where the upper and lower parts of the seat join
-Pull the bottom half up and towards you
-Once it is vertical lift straight up to detach from pivot
-Get it out of the car to give you space

2) Undo 2 bolts
- Having just removed the lower part of the seat there are now 2 bolts visible 1 located each side of the car, next to the rear speaker panel.
- Undo the bolts, they are long so require lots of twisting until free
- Remember where the washer sat and place in safe location out of car

3) Lift up rear window seals
- Open rear windows
-Lift up the rubber seal which lies on the bottom part of the window
-(It is attached all the way round the window trim, only lifting it up is neccessary)

4) Remover upper seatbelt bolts
- Locate rear seat belts (side belts only)
- Locate top of seat belt fixing point
- Remove circular plastic covering on top joint of each belt (1 each side)
- This reveals seat belt joint bolt (1 each side)
- Undo bolts and place safely outside of car

- (Same for front seat belts required)
- Locate front seat belts
- Locate front seat belt joints at top of belt.
- Remove circular plastic covering (1 each side)
- This reveals bolt (1 each side)
- Undo bolt and place in safe location

5) Lower rear seat
- Open the boot
- Clamber in
- Locate where rear seat meets plastic trim (each side of car)
- Locate small plastic lever (each side of car)
- Push small plastic lever towards the front of the car (both sides same time)
- Meanwhile push rear seat gently towards front of car (helps if have a friend)
- This will lower seat
- (You do not want seat lowered completely, once seat is free in movement leave resting in normal position)

6) Remove rear speaker panels (requires trusted + competant friend)
-Friend Get in car sit where rear seat was on driver side (for space)
-You sit front seat passenger side
-You locate where rear speaker panel ends beside front door
-You pull rear speaker panel away from end at door towards opposite side
-You will notice part of rear speaker panel detach from car
-Friend and You pull off remainder of speaker panel from its poppers
-Notice lump of plastic preventing complete detachment from car
-Careful to prevent damage Friend and You need to move rear speaker panel towards front of car and up
-Remember plastic will flex, but is also capable of snapping
-Manipulating this action will get rear speaker panel detached from car...although still on the seatbelts themselves.

Notice how speaker is joined to hidden part of rear panel, rather than metal body work.

To remove rear speaker undo the 4 torx screws holding speaker in place, alongside wire joint (wire with plastic adaptor at end)

Do what you needed to do, and then return car to normal state by effectively reversing the above instructions.

(I accept no liability for any action you undertake from following these instructions.....yadda yadda)

If any problems contact a Sax-p I.C.E section expert, or if incounter any difficulties that the above cannot solve, any car audio installer can help, alongside most garages, including Citroen Dealerships.

The instructions above probably took longer to type than to actually perform, estimated time for completion is 40mins-1 hour.

How to replace front speakers in a daewoo leganza 02

You will need to either remove the door card or the speaker grill on the door card. To do this you will need a set of thin nose pliers for removing door clips, a flat head screw driver and a phillips screw driver for any cross head screws. Use the flat head screw driver to pop the grill off, if the grill is not removeable you will have to take the whole door card off. To do this you need to remove the electric windows panel as well as the door handle and lock panel, from their disconnect them from their harnesses. Then remove all clips and screws holding the panel in place. The door card should come free without too much effort, pulling upwards and away from the window. Unscrew the old speakers and disconnect the wires from them. Wire your new speaker to the same wire configuration as the old one. Screw it in. Place the door card back on and then plug the harnesses back in and place the door lock and window locking panels back in place. Do the same for the other door.

A professional installation will cost about $80 I think, I did my door speakers on my car and all I had to do was pop out the grill so it was easier than I expected.

2002 yukon gmc my speaker is out and I need to know what type of speaker I need.o is it square or round and installation process

Standard Yukon front and door speakers are 5-1/4". Most aftermarket speakers will require an adapter bracket.
Also, there are custom made kick panel enclosures for the Yukon.
Installing new speakers in the doors is a rather easy process. You just need to remove the door handles, door lock and window switches, and the door panel, remove the speaker, disconnect it, plug in the new speaker, and then reinstall everything you took off in reverse order.

One online aftermarket retailer, www.crutchfield.com will send you an "install guide" tailored to your vehicle when you purchase from them. They will also include any brackets, adapters, or wiring harnesses needed, usually at no additional cost.

In order to be more specific, additional information on your vehicle would be required. Is it the Yukon, Yukon Denali, Yukon XL, or Yukon XL Denali and does it have the Bose system with or without OnStar, and does it have the OEM subwoofer?

With this information, Crutchfield or many other online retailers can help you select exactly what you want.
