If the broken link is along the cable (not in the earphone) just cut the cable very close to the earphones and replace it with a new one (a stereo cable should contain at least 3 different wires inside). If the cable is broken inside the earphone itself, it is possible to solder it but because we are talking about a earphone it could be hard to open them and to closed them back in.

How can I repair my Beats Mixr headphone in which one of the ear is not working ?

Presumably this is a wiring problem, for one of two reasons. If you look at the RCA plug that you use to hook into your stereo, you will see two black bands on it - one band for each signal - left or right. If there isn't a good connection, often you won't get sound in both earpieces. First try inserting the plug into your equipment part way, or rotating it carefully, to see if you can get both ears working. If that doesn't work, then the problem is either the wire for whatever ear is not working, not being connected properly at the RCA plug itself, or at the ear in question. You can unscrew the plastic cover on the RCA plug to see the wiring connection. But if the connection is bad at the actual earpiece, I would suggest returning the headphones, rather than taking them apart. Good luck.

Wont play music

sounds like you have removed them by pulling on the wires, not by the earbuds or plug. not a recommeded practice when unplugging anything as it usually ends in broken wires internally along with tears. You may be able the get somebody to do some faultfinding/repairs if they are of the super expensive variety otherwise replacement may be the only solution. Most in-ear headphones have super delicate wiring and are as such a real pig to resolder

My bose headphones have just stopped working, is there a decent chance I can get them repaired fairly cheaply?

You can try taking to a electronic repair shop to check if the cable is broken somewhere, if so, it can be repaired, if thats not the case bad luck. always take care of the headphones cables, never tie them tight always keep them loose.

Cable broken just as it enters the rubber grommet on the left headphone. On other brands of headphones, I could just feed the broken piece through and resolder. On the TriPorts, they seem to be crimped...

Never repaired Bose Triports specifically, so here's a generic guide:
First open the ear-cups to expose the left speaker, try wiggle the grommet out then feel where crimped part bulges, if a flat crimp, then squeeze it on the bulge to re-open the crimp and pull.
Otherwise your localized electronics component store should keep a suitable replacement cable and hopefully a new grommet.
If planning to dump the old cable anyway, try trim the old grommet away with a flat-nipper type of side-cutter .
You may even be able to re-use the cable.
Instead of exact grommet replacement you could try silicone sealant.

Stereo jack and speakers are usually standard.

Your headphone jack connections have broken inside, cutting off the speaker and one side od the audio, left or right. The jack needs to be replaced or resoldered.

My left earbuds on my JVC gummy earphones went out.

I have this problem all the time with my JVC earbuds. This may sound a little gross but it will work. I put the ear phone in my mouth and **** on the end of it pretty hard. What I have found is that sweat or even wax will plug the little hole and prevent the sound from coming out.
