Question about Wacom Intuos3 6x11

1 Answer

The cursor stops moving.

Very often now and then when I lift my hand up to type (or whatever,) the cursor would stop following the stylus when I go back to drawing again--causing me a great deal of annoyance. Sometimes it seems to be fixed by switching to eraser side and go back to pen again, and other times not. I've never had this problem before when I was still using an intuos 6x8, but it happens every single time when I tried to draw after I switched to wide screen monitor and 6x11. A friend of mine who also uses the same tablet also experienced the same problem. Is there any way to fix this?

I have the exact same problem. I have a wireless router and a 23" AppleLCD  monitor. Funny thing is, that when I swap to my Airbrush pen from the standard grip pen the problem disappears. Weird. Any other solutions would be appreciated.

I have the same problem, working on a MacG5, tried it today on another Mac and the rpoblem was gone, so I think it is somewhere outside the tabllet itself.
I'll keep looking for a solution.....

Same exact problem for me.  It gets really annoying after typing something, then having to flip or wave around the pen like a *******.

I have found the same problem here. I use my plasma as a monitor and that interferes with the tablet when up close.

I also read somewhere it also can be your wireless router that causes the same problem. Perhaps using a different channel in your router preferences.

You are probably hitting the touchpad on your laptop with the heel of your hand while you're typing. This will make the cursor move to some other place. It's not really moving by itself; you just aren't aware you're doing it. I would suggest turning off the touchpad while you're typing, and then turn it back on as needed. Compaq computers usually have a switch on the touchpad bezel to turn it off. Some people also plug in a USB mouse, finding it more convenient and comfortable if they want to move around on the document frequently.

I can't get my GTCO roll up 3 to connect to my computer

First make sure you have the latest software driver for your operating system load.
On the RUD3 there is a menu to select a Superset number.
Using your stylus or cursor select S then 0 then 1, S01 on the superset menu. This will set the communcations to the correct type.
If you are using th USB it will auto-detect the driver.

My few week old bamboo input device is malfunctioning. The graphics tablet isfine according to the program checklist for troubleshooting, it also recognizes the stylus/pen when it is tapped on the active...

When was it last working?
Well first, try restarting the Bamboo program or restarting your system. It has more than one program that runs at the same time. For example, one program may be the one to control the movements and another may be there to help manage your bamboo device.
Second, installing the bamboo drivers and software may help. Registry can be edited, but that can lead to more issues.
Goodluck! :)

Cursor restricted to top left area using graphics tablet

It's the windows 7 tablet feature that causes the problem. To solve it you have to disable it. Go to start -> search write "services.msc" (without the strokes) and hit enter. Now search for "Tablet PC Input Service" double click on it and when a little window pops up set Disabled under startup type list box. Now if you want to see effect immediately there is a button Stop, click on it, and wait until service is stopped. When done close both windows. This way you don't have to even restart your pc.

Go to the search on your computer and find your tabletworks. Open tablet works and go to mapping. Click pick. Locate your mouse pad on the digitzer pad. Click Apply. This worked for me.

Ur issue is that the tablet itself can not be above the tower or the laptop. Magnets make it shake. I had that problem to anytime it was by the computer (only above for some reason) or by something magnetic, so avoid that and you should be fine.
