Question about Computers & Internet

No Power Hi, I have a Sotec 3120 and recently it just won't power up. At first I thought it was the adapter, but I purchased a new one and it still won't power up or charge the battery. Could you please let me know why this is. Thanks.

First things first:
1) You maybe fried the onboard for Sotec 3120, using anothe Power Adapter that may have diffrent AMP. but same DC.
2) you can RMS your product, for a new one, if warranty apply **
3) Consult the manual for other way to power up your device at this point.

Hp pavilion dv6 2117ax will not power up

Since you already got a new charger, then the problem could be the power jack of the laptop and/or the connections inside the laptop.

Try to plug the power adapter slowly and try to wiggle it. It you feel that the power jack is wiggling, then the problem is a loose power jack that is why it won't charge. And you need to have a tech tighten that up for you.

My battery icon shows "plugged

When this issue occurs it is generally due to a bad power adapter. Power adapters tend to get hot when plugged in and in use. The actual temp inside the adapter would naturally be even hotter than the outside.

Over time wires inside any component that creates massive heat will simply breakdown. Sometimes they can get hot enough to catch fire.

My suggestion would be to purchase a new power adapter and see if that fixes the problem. You may want to find someone with the same laptop and "borrow" their power adapter to see if that fixes your problems. That way you won't spend any money until your sure.

THANKS! Hope that helps.

Printer won't turn on and AC Power Adapter plug is making a humming noise.

if the AC adapter is humming, refrain (stop) from using it !

the adapter is physically damaged and the internal transformer has been dropped several times to make such a noise.
you will have to purchase a new AC adapter, p/n should be and it should cost about $10-$15

Something is tripping the adapter protection circuit. Try plugging it into a surge protector or surge protected outlet. If it is still tripping you need a new power adapter. A PA13 is $10 on Ebay. Check the bottom of your laptop to see the power specs (90 watts or 65 watts).

Hi I just recently purchase online a epc netbook It won't even power on?

The problem you are experiencing might be the battery or may be the power adapter but since you said it wont even power on,What you need to do is to try and get a power adapter that you can test with your notebook to know if it is the power adapterthen you might need to replace your power adapter but If it doesn't work still then it could be the motherboard of your noteboook and it has to be replaced.

Gateway MX3231 won't boot and I just bought a new power adapter

Based on what you have stated, it looks to be your AC connector that is loose or broken from the motherboard. This connector just needs to be soldered back onto the motherboard. Have a technician look at this before you start spending money on a new battery.

Power supply issue

sound like they have damaged the "new motherboard" when have installed it at the shop. Or they installed a cheap brand and it's not correctly sitting in the base. should ask them to show you the old motherboard they removed to make sure they haven't just fudged-up the old one.
