If your strings are old try replacing them, or cleaning them. You can clean them by boiling them or soaking them in denatured alchahol.

How do I rewire the pots on my LTD AX-141 4 String bass guitar. Someone has messed up the wiring thank you

There are two sites I go to for most of my guitar/amp needs. Youtube and the second is StewMac.com and look in the Trade Secrets and How to section. It may not be the exact guitar/bass but it's a real good jumping off point.
I just opened a youtube site and searched "how to rewire a bass guitar" and received 8690 how-to videos.
Good luck on this project.

Age of my fender 4 string bass with serial 238784 on back plate

I would need the complete serial #s, this serial # would be a 1968. Fender did not manufacture a Deluxe (or active) Bass guitar line at that time.

Fret buzz only on E string. Adjusted truss and action, and still buzz. Some relief when I turn bass knob higher than the rest

This sounds like a worn nut groove. The string is sitting too low. Does the buzz happen all the way up the neck or just on open string?

My boy has an esp ltd ax 150 bass which has broken E strings at the bridge since new almost 1 a week the bridge was modified by a Luthier which worked for a small amount of time then the problem came

You friends bass has a burr on the saddle. take a small fine file and go along the pacth of the string...Go over the saddle and slowly file lightly..This should get rid of your problem...take it to a service center if you arent comfortable doing this

My line 6 lowdown 750 keeps cutting out when i play a low b on my bass

Protective circuits kicking in. You may be overdriving the preamp to a clipping condition the amp sees as a problem. If it is under warranty, contact Line 6 and see if this is normal for this amp. It should not be, but you never can be sure.

After installation, the treble strings are much louder than the bass strings

Try adjusting with the EQ settings on the amp... boost the bass and trim the highs.

The high E string dont sound as brightly as the rest of the strings when plugged. I already changed the strings several times with different brands. still the same problem. only the first string sounds...

This is likely a problem with the amp you are using. Turn the treble up higher. If the amp is intended for a bass guitar, it probably can;t handle the highs of the E string. In that case get an amp that has a smaller speaker or one that is intended for Keyboards that has the capability.
