Question about JVC GR-AXM18US Camcorder
I had this same issue and it was driving me crazy. If you do not turn the camcorder on and hold the eject button, when it is trying to eject tap right in the middle of the tape (next to the eject button) I had to do this twice before it opened but it worked. It tends to tighten the tape up and reset that error code message it is receiving internally.

Yes you can. You may need to purchase a capture card though. So that your computer can capture video from the camera. You can get the capture cards for as little as 20$ Just google capture cards and start reading. There is tons of info out there and they are very popular for things like this and capturing from the tv etc...
