Crib particle board broken

I have a pali crib. My problem is that one of the sides that holds the springs up where the screw holds has broken. The board has split so the screw no longer holds the mattress up on that one side. Is there a way I can fix the board?? My 16 mo. old can't sleep in the crib until this is fix and my husband and I are baffled as to how to fix it?
