Guest is quite right - use the macro button on left hand side of lens (holding camera pointing at subject) Press once for "macro" which focuses from 10cm away. If you hold this button in for about 2 seconds, it puts your camera into "supermacro" mode, which gives focus from right up against the lens! (need backlighting for this close!) Supermacro will not work in Auto and Sport mode. Best is to use "AV" or "TV"

As far as viewing your pics goes - rotate the mode lever (You turn this anti-clockwise to turn ON) clockwise and you will see the most recent pic on your LCD screen. Use the left and right direction on the omni selector to naviagate through your pics.

Its a good idea to download the advanced manual onto your pc from the dic supplied. Its an adobe document and very user-friendly.

I hope this helps you.... :)

Dear user,

it is very easy, but you need to know that not in all setting you can use macro.. if you want to get marco try the setting useing "A" or "P" for example, and then press the macro botton near the lens, that is all ...
if you want to take a very near picture of an object, press and hold the macro botton until it said to you super-macro.

enjoy.. and have a nice shoots.

Outdoor pics completely washed out Cannon S5 IS Power shot

Try going into the review menu, choose setup and then choose 'reset all' This should re-set all shooting settings to automatic and solve the problem. If that doesn't do the trick, your sensor is probably damaged - not good news - sorry

I just bought a Canon sx120 IS and am about to return it. There is no action mode, and at least half of my pictures are blurry, even still shots! Can you tell me what is happening, or if there is a...

if the lens is removeable ensure it is fitted correctly.
if there is a manaul af setting make sure it is in af for autofocus.
ensure you are not in macro mode or close up mode as this will cause bluring on non close up pictures.
to test take a picture of a subject very close up and see if it is in focus if it is you need to change camera out of macro mode.
action mode is not available for macro mode so this maybe is the case.
action mode on cannon looks like a square with bottom right corner hilighted to look like a stack of images. make sure this is set for sequence shots.

What a RIPOFF This Cannon Printer was !!!

Apparently there is a ripoff feature in this printer that after a certain number of prints an 'absorber" will fill that can only be emptied and a counter reset by an "authorized Cannon Repair Service". Good Luck Finding One that will work on a model that is the "current" one.

As I have to go out and buy a new printer today, you can be assured I will NEVER buy a Cannon one again
