It would be best to let the professional change the case for you......so you will be sure not to have anything broken or damaged.

How to open nokia n73's parts

Hi,

In order to disassemble a Nokia N73 phone first of all you need to remove the battery cover (back cover) of the phone. Then remove the battery, memory card and the SIM card.

Pry up the front cover frame by using the safe open pry tool. It is recommended to start from either of the bottom corners of the phone. First insert the safe open pry tool between the cover and the keypad of the phone to unhook the clip underneath. Do not apply too much pressure as this may damage the front cover. You can use Triangle Safe Open Pry Tool in conjunction with Safe Open Pry Tool for prying up the cover frame safely and conveniently.

Do the same to unclip the clip from the other side. Once you have undone the clips, run the tool gently along the sides of the cover to unclip all the clips. This should remove the cover without much difficulty.

Now you need to remove the display shield which holds the LCD screen in place. You need to pry the display shield up using the safe open pry tool to unlock the clips holding it in place.

Once you have the display shield removed, the next step is to remove the LCD which will now be loose enough to be lifted up. Gently lift up the LCD using the safe open pry tool but be very careful as you still have to remove a ribbon cable to be able to free the LCD. To disconnect this cable you need to gently lift it and it will pop out.

Once you have disconnected the ribbon cable, the LCD can now be lifted up and removed. Your Nokia N73 is now disassembled.

Reverse the instructions above to reassemble your phone.

Please let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards.

Hi, my nokia n73 camera unit main rarely works when using the backslide of the phone? it hardly detects the camera. Is there any way to switch camera from front camera to main without using the...

Usual problem of main camera for this phone is the backslide cover, there are 2 gold plated metal pins attach at the back housing which triggering the metal interface of the backslide cover, sometimes if the back cover is not attach well or the lock of it is damage, it will never hit the to pins all thru the 2 metal attach on the back cover.

To be able to fix this problem, simply align the 2 pins attach at the back housing,it should be bouncing and align as well, also clean the metal interface of the back cover, might some area is corroded.

Otherwise, need to replace the backslide cover to be able to use the main camera.

Good day....

How to update n73

Hi there, first off all i like to say update your N73 from Nokia websites. click the Link your will get the page. But my friend remember it is very very risky. Just follow the important tips first.
A) I given a link which is for USA Nokia N73. Because i don't know your location. So you can go from the first steps. Type in address bar www.nokia.com then select your location. After that below the page you will find software update, just click there then select your handset. You must read the page information. That's very important.
B)Before start update take a backup of your phone.
C) When updating Don't touch or disconnect your data cable.
D) Way of updating your mobile going in dark or off mode. So don't think about restart. It will automatically start after updating.
E) By any reason during updating, if your phone disconnecting for internet or data cable then you lost your all data & the phone previous software also. Then you faced a big problem. That is your phone totally dead. That time only Nokia service center can rescue your phone.
F) I have that bad side experience with my Nokia N73. So i like to say that its really very risky. But if you give it to the Nokia service center then it will take max one day and charges maximum 15 U$ -20 U$.

Now you follow the steps how to updates.
  1. Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
  2. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window
  3. Click on the icon “Phone info”
  4. Click on “Scan”
  5. Change the product code to 0539343 and mark the case “Enable”.
  6. Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
  7. Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
  8. Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is updating or else you will break it! If you break it then your hand set will be dead & you have to submit in your local nokia service center.
  9. That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be the Nokia N73 Music Edition!
Thanks & waiting for your feedback. Best of luck.
