Did you get a windows Vista CD with the computer ? if yes use to make eighter restoration or format and reinstallation of Windows Vista. If you dont have a CD get a Vista Copy and when you are activating them use your genuine serial Vista Number , it may be located in a Microsoft's label it is usually in the back of your PC.

Hi

Use the OPERATING SYSTEM CD/DVD to run the REPAIR MODE.

REPAIRING THE OPERATING SYSTEM just load or install corrupted or missing files from your operating system thus will not delete any of your files from your computer.

Please rate and make a comment if you find this solution very helpful and might help others as well. Post more comments if you need more help.

NTLDR MSSING, how can i solve this?

NTLDR is short for NT loader – a program loaded from the hard drive boot sector that displays the Microsoft Windows NT startup menu and helps Microsoft Windows NT load. So when it goes missing for some reason, your windows cannot load.
Cause:
1. Computer is booting from a non-bootable source.
2. Computer hard disk drive is not properly setup in BIOS.
3. Corrupt NTLDR and/or NTDETECT.COM file.
4. Misconfiguration with the boot.ini file.
5. Attempting to upgrade from a Windows 95, 98, or ME computer that is using FAT32.
6. New hard disk drive being added.
7. Corrupt boot sector / master boot record.
8. Seriously corrupted version of Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
9. Loose or Faulty IDE/EIDE hard disk drive cable.
if there is attached drive ,remove the drive first before restarting the system if not then if you had access to another computer, copy the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM which is available from the recovery CD which comes with computer. If you do not have the recovery CD, its available on microsoft site or is available from another computer using the same Operating System (Windows XP ). The location may be C:\i386\ntldr C:\i386\ntdetect.com use a bootable disc to restart the computer (the Win XP bootable CD or Win 98 bootable CD worked). After entering MS DOS mode, copy these 2 files to the C drive in the proper location. After restart, then pressing F10 on start up (used for system recovery ), then start the repair of Windows via system recovery This will reinstalled all Windows drivers and system files, while preserving all data on your computer.

I cant reformat my hard drive. (Windows XP)

Hi. There are several causes for this type of error. Either your Windows CD is corrupted, hardware is faulty (Motherboard, RAM, hard disk, video card, etc.). You may want to try to reformat your hard drive using another computer first just to isolate if your hard drive is faulty. If you can format it using another computer, try installing windows on that computer.

.exe files got corrupted

well, if the CD won't read in Windows, and this is due to a virus, it should not affect the drives functionality before windows loads. You will need to use a bootable CD (like the Windows CD) and when you power on hte computer, enter the boot menu (check bottom of screen during power up for the correct button.) then select CD ROM and see if it will boot to Windows Set up. If it will, exit setup, restart windows, back up your data to a jump drive and then reboot with the CD & boot menu selection, and reload windows. Before you do any of this, go to acer's website and download all of the drivers for your computer to a jump drive, you will need them for the windows reinstall

Laptop ntldr problem

When pc first starts, press the F2 key to open the pc cmos settings. Look around and find the boot list and ensure that the machine will boot on cd before hdd. Than boot on your OS cd and attempt to repair existing. This will at worse case reinstall your system.
