Fill Fault appears during wash cycle.

MODEL: DD603
Product#: 30188-B
Serial#:RAM710040

Hi there,

During the wash cycle a tap symbol appears (with a line through it/ fill fault) on the LCD during wash cycle. The machine then stops washing and continually beeps allowing the drawer to be opened.

Pressing the start button again continues the wash. Sometimes the fault reappears twice or more in the one wash cycle.

What is causing this "fill fault" to appear? ...and so regularly?

Thanks in advance

Stephen

The filter in the hose is clean. As you suggested, it may then be the valve.

    Thanks for your help

I have this problem too, but it happens on both drawers whether run simultaneously or one at a time. It can't be the fill valves unless both failed simultaneously. I have seen mention of the motor being used to sense water level, but that would mean both have been damaged/worn simultaneously also

Also the inlet filter is clean

Is the filter in the hose where it screws onto the tap clean?, if this is okay then most likely the valve.

Testimonial: "Hi, Thanks so much for the reply. I checked the filter in the hose and it appears 'clean'. As you said it may be the valve. Thank you Stephen"

Is this valve, the one that is before the filter off the main water supply.

Thanks in advance as I seem to have the same problem.

Maytag centennial washer won't fill during rinse cycle

If the inlet works during the wash cycle or start program but does not work during the rinse cycle, then it is due to fault in the program. Select another program to confirm this cycle or choose another cycle. If the fault is the same on all the programs then it can be due to the controller unit.

Bosch SHE44C07UC/22 - FD8606 : pump does not run during wash cycle, but does run during empty cycle. timer works. fill works. empty works. relays are heard about 2 minutes into fill cycle. may be...

Hi 2ipnelson,

Very difficult to know for sure which part is not working.

It is best to run the dishwasher in testing / service mode to ascertain which component is not working.

I found a .pdf document that explains the whole process, it should also work for your SHE model.
The link: LINK - CLICK HERE

Follow the steps, and the culprit part should be diagnosed.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi I have a DD603 F & P dish drawer. I had an F2 fault, found the rotor motor seized. I've replaced that but F2 still comes up & the water doesn't drain away. Any ideas?

Before we talk about water not draining away, can you confirm if the wash arms rotate during the wash cycle. The rotor works as a wash pump and drain pump depending on which cycle it is in.

If F2 keeps coming then it is also likely there is some debris in the rotor cavity which is grinding on the rotor. But one needs to be sure if F2 is coming up only in drain cycle or is it already on during wash cycle.

Cold water will not stop filling during rinse

while the unit is filling in the warm cycle. reach behind and shut off the hot water tap.I bet the water flow stops filling, if so, you would need to change the inlet valve on the machine. You see, in warm, if the cold is not filling, you still hear the hot filling and the unit will advance. The rinse cycles are mostly "cold" only. if the valve is not opening it will not allow it to advance from the rinse section on the board.

Good luck!

Kenmore Washer Spin Issue - Need help troubleshooting

Check the coils on the wig-gag. Its a couple of bars that engage the spin drive or the wash drive. If you look at the machine when its running you will see it moving back and forth, hence the name. If the coil engages the spin cam, but it still will not spin then the tranny is your next culprit.
